Hey all. I was just curious if you think a guy could get away with less than one inch pin length for delt and quad injections? How deep into the muscle is adequate for proper absorbtion etc? Cheers......

I am not sure about delts, but for quads I would use a minimum of 1 inch. Honestly, a 3/4 inch pin is not less painful than a 1 inch pin. Once the pin is in it just slides through comfortablly (as long as it is a new neddle). I even used 1 1/2 inch pin for quads without any problem (although I do have muscular legs).
Bump for more opinions. Thanx blood but im pretty sure one inch is more than enough for delt or quad shot, or any other area for than matter unless your verry overwieght with a large amount of fat to penetrate....
How thick the fat is at the injection site is important i think
I inject both quads and delts with a 3/4 inch needle.
CL
I use a one in needle for both delts and qauds.
why chance not getting full absorbtion and dissepation just use a one in. unless you have small qauds or delts a one in. is pretty much the standard.
I use 1/2" slin pin for my prop/tren in delts, quads, pecs, and I use 1.25" 25g for glutes. I'm relatively low body fat though. I get one sore from maybe one shot out of 8 or 10. some times you inject next to a nerve or go through a blood vessel, etc. and I think that could be attributed to the soreness. Concentration of gear may have something to do with it as well. What are you shooting?
Test Enan.....
its not the pin length that is giving you the swelling, I still get swelling all the time, like stated above ba content, gear concentration and possibly hitting a nerve will cause that.
Than it must be the nerve because I take all measure to avoid problems with swelling etc....I warm the oil, cut it 1;1 with sterile cottonseed, hot water bottle on the inj site post inj and massage. Its still hit and miss so im thinking i may be penetrating to deep...its seems other members here are haveing no problems with shorter pins....just something else to try. When your always swollen and in pain you tend to search high and low for possible fixes. Thanx everyone for your input....cache
I may be wrong, but at long as you break the Fascia, it seems to me you should have the same absorbtion as you would if you were dead center in the muscle. Again, I don't know the answer, all I know is I get similar results from my cycles as others, and I am not shooting terribly deep.
As far as dealing with the pain, just make sure and inject whatever muscle you will work out that day. that way you have the longest period of time for it to heal before you have to work it out again.
pretty much any information you read regarding i.m. injections will say at least one inch needle for proper absorbtion. but if smaller needles work for you guys i am sure it is fine. you probably will increase your chance of problems the smaller needle length you use, or the closer to the surface you are, i always use at least one inch for all my injects. but i have seen many guys here use smaller with no problems.
so... since we can openly discuss ar-r products here.. would this be the appropiate needle?

Yeah that one's perfect. You could use a 25g also, if you want a thinner needle.
