    last injection question

Asolutley last question on injecting guys,
i tryed the search function but when u put in "injecting" u get hundreads of different threads which usually are unrelated to actual injecting. Plus its best to be safe then sorry.... so

...i know everything, except when it comes to clearing air bubbles- i need help here

    Here is what i know:

1] push on the syringe to eject all air

2] put syringe in vile, aspirate (pull out the plunger) to draw the liquid into the syringe

3] when u get the steroid in the syringe, look for air bubbles

4] flick the syringe a few times, till the air bubbles dispear

5] then press the syringe a little bit, so it pushes all the air out, and that some of the steroid goes from within the syringe, down into the needle

my question is how much of the steroid do i push out of the syringe to clear the air?

Do i push so that only a bit of the steroid manages to make it out of the syringe and to the top of the needle, or do i push it enough so that a bit of the steroid actually drips out of the needle?

You will see it form in/on the needle tip, then possibly drip a tiny bit, thats the point ya good to go.

Remember to aspirate while in the muscle to make sure your not in a vien.

what are you supposed to see when you aspirate if you havent hit a blood vessel?

when you aspirate..you will either see air bubbles or blood. Air=inject Blood=DO NOT INJECT

yep, little airbubbles came out, but no blood.

when i injected my mate, i was wandering if it was still ok to inject those little bubbles that come out (when i pulled the plunger to check for a blood vessel). Is it ok to inject them back into the muscle?

Yep, as there not actually air but muscle juice (basic way of putting it)

If you aspirate and get blood, pick another spot and inject there - as the blood is ya own you can put it back into your body and it will not harm you.

Here's what I do, start to finish:

    0. heat a cup of water in the microwave for 2 minutes. Let vial sit in heated water for a few minutes to make the oil easier to draw.

    1. Rub top of vial with q-tip soaked with isopropyl alcohol. Allow to air dry.

    2. Pull back plunger on syringe to the amount I plan to fill the syringe

    3. Insert syringe into vial, and empty air from the syringe into vial. (this creates a slight positive pressure in the vial which makes drawing easier)

    4. Draw slowly into syringe pushing back every once in a while if an air bubble forms.

    5. Remove filled syringe from vial, and flick syringe a few times to get the last tiny air bubble or two to rise to the top, and press plunger until one drop of oil slides down the needle.

    6. Change needles

    7. Using a fresh q-tip soaked in isopropyl alcohol, swab the area of skin where you plan to inject, and allow to air dry.

    8. Using a firm but smooth motion insert needle into muscle. Leave a small bit of the needle sticking out in case you manage to break the needle and have to retrieve it

    9. Aspirate checking for blood. If there's blood pull out the syringe, change the needle, swab a new injection site with alcohol and try again.

    10. If everything is good slowly inject into the muscle.

    11. Pull syringe out using a firm but smooth motion

    12. place your finger over the hole for a moment.

Using this process I get MAYBE one drop of blood that comes out of the needle's hole and no loss of oil, even without the z-track method.
