I haven't come across Leptin as being instrumental in gyno formation. The primary factor is very simply, and this hard for a lot of people to comprehend...an imbalance in the very delicate Test/Estro ratio which can occur at any age for a plethora of reasons.

I like to best illustrate this with the NJM case studies below in which the mere EXTERNAL application of lavender and tea tree oil shampoos and lotions caused seemingly idiopathic gyno in three separate 4, 7, and 10yr old boys. This illustrates my point that if they can get it from lowly external absorption of traditionally non-hormonal related products, how much more prone is the aas user? LOTS!!!

Nark - I've read that increased Leptin levels are often accompanied by an increase in luteinizing hormone and greater activation of the LH receptors.

Since HCG can supposedly cause gyno, as it stimulates LH, I would venture that Leptin indirectly influences other physiological responses that can trigger gynecomastia.

By itself, does it cause gyne? I don't think so.

I was interested in the leptin thing, but can you explain how HCG stimulates LH, i thought it mimicked LH and was more likely to suppress production of our own LH from the pituitary while taking it, isn't that why it should be stopped before PCT so that we can start producing our own LH again.

HCG is an LH substitute since it activates the same receptor, but from my rudimentary knowledge, this activation in turn leads to increased LH in the body after administration has ceased...I don't think it is a one and done deal.

I'm pretty sure you are correct that it suppresses natural levels, but upon cessation, the pituitary is basically recalibrated, the testes start functioning again, and LH production begins.

The same can be said about alcohol (and a number of other compounds)... re: not causing gyno by itself... rather contributing to a chain of events which lead to gyno.

Honestly I think, in attempting to treat gyno, people only look at the end.

i.e. "Elevated estrogen... Oh dear, time for letro!"
