over 35 yrs old
Yes I am 37 !
I have started working back out it's been over 2 years now. Muscle
memory has come back as i used to work out on/off since high school.
The problem is gains are slow..and I have a little belly that doesn't want
to go away..yes still after more than 2 years of training!
I believe it is time to get back into the real deal. But I have to be careful
cuz i ain't no spring chicken anymore.
Any suggestions on something that will bring me back but has few sides?
I know .. I'm asking for too much. lol

I weight about 147- 150lbs ..5 foot 6 or 7
I would say I'm an ectomorph..but now I have abdominal fat.
I was trying to work out only with use of zero cardio to get rid of it. I never had
belly fat all my life. I didn't want to do cardio for fear of losing muscle mass.
It looks like i have no choice.
My diet would be oatmeal and eggs in morning.
a tuna, fish or chicken at lunch with rice ..sometimes the burger an fries..
dinner..rice , beef or chicken.
I don't add the prtein shake after cause i notice my belly pops out big at night.
When i use to take creatine or protein shakes..my belly grew bigger so i stopped
and it went down.. but now i am suffering from low protein probably.

I like to get up and without eating or drinking anything, I walk on the treadmill for about 45minutes. I do not run fast, but just enough to get my heart going. This alone will help to take away your stomach fat over time without losing muscle. It works for me and I am 38.

well obv your cardio is your problem, that is the oonly thing that would help you, NOT DRUGS!...but if u did want to explore in the world of AAS, start with test. But your goals will not be successful without a correct diet and training regimen.

i agree on early morning cardio on a fast.
however what worked for me was 20-25 minutes of raising and lowering my heart rate. I would jog for 2 minutes then walk for 2 minutes on the steepest incline the machine had..........
In a matter of weeks the fat off my stomach disappeared(its a shame its back again). I also used lean out(beverly international) pre-cardio along with 20 ounces of water.
my 2 cents.

Give it time think long-term trust me I know, I'm 47 and struggle everyday to stay lean while adding quality muscle doing better though, today I'm at 17% BF, 5'9 and a flat 200lbs. was 19-20% and 194lbs two months ago. Looking to get into the high single digits over the next 6-months. Remember diet is key I eat no more than 1900 cals a day all coming from lean protein and fibrous carbs, veggies etc.. Oh and drink water like there's no tomorrow.

Guys i want to be able to achieve all this with minimal effort. This means I don't want to
dedicate my life to this. I want to get up go to work..go to the gym workout
come home and lead normal life.
I know my eating sucks .. my working out well..I know it is better than most.
I have better knowledge than most people in the gym.
The diet i agree it is mostly laziness on my part.
Listen i didn't win a Gold medal in wrestling by not being strict.. i was strict..very strict.
But now i am 37 and that is done. I just want to eat good but not to the point
where i am getting out a calculator.
I want a gear that i can keep the gains with minimal sides. When on gear i will go back
to breaking out the calculator and eat like a back in the days. i will do it right..if
I can ever get my hands on it.
I also don't want to use PCT's either.
What do you think of Var...40 mg for about 3 mnths? I know var
over 40mg involves PCT.
btw..cardio first thing in morning works because..you increase your metabolism
the whole day... as opposed to if you do cardio later.
The know the theories but to put it into practise is difficult.

i guess i can't be lazy about diet anymore.
see i never had to worry cuz i have been an ectomorph all my
life. All my concern was to try and put on quality weight.
I guess I will have to re learn my thinking.
So there is a diet forum for eh? I will have to check it out.

I have trained all thru high school..then stopped for numerous years..then got
back into it...been off and on for many years...thank god for muscle memory!
Right now ... I have trained for over 2-3 yrs steady. I think it's time...as i seem to
be stuck in a plateau for a long while.
But i am trying to pick a gear. Everyday i keep changing..first it was deca and primo
then it went to var only ..now i am thinking of OT.
Can you provide me with a link to your cycle logs dupa 95? i tried to look for it
but couldn't find it.

thanks i found it.
Wow...you made some great results off var alone. Now I am thinking about
Var? ...what about OT? (t-bol)
Which i should i expect from OT or Var..what would the difference be between the two?
Any comments from users appreciated.

Im older than you and know what you mean. We all hit a wall at a certain point. To get by, gear sounds as if it will be the cure. But if you're not ready to go balls to the wall with everything, you will not see the results and become even more frustrated.
What do I mean? You have to make a mental, as well as physical, commitment if you want to take that next step. It becomes even more difficult when you are older. You not only have to be strict with your diet, but with your training, sleep, etc., as well.
The key to gains is diet. Caloric intake and especially protein. I am consuming some things that I despise just because of their nutritional value and high content of protein. Cottage cheese and liquid protein to name a few. The bottled protein they sell in the vitamin shops taste like melted mouse trap glue, but it is a quick and high source.
Protein shakes, protein bars and weight gainer shakes should become a part of your daily routine. There are no off days with the diet.
If you do decide to use gear, PCT will be important if you intend to keep the gains that you should be making.
If you want to go into it half way, then stay away from gear to not take a chance on any side effects that you may not want. It will only work for you if you do all the other things mentioned.
Best of luck to you. And rmember- 40 is the new 20! The 'Fountain of Youth' is there if you can recognize and take advantage of it.
