    First cycle...need advise

    Im hoping to get some more info and make my final decisions on my first cycle. Im still on the fence about doing one or not. For a little history about me. 3/05 I tipped the scales at 272 lbs. Im 6ft. I was able to shed off 90 lbs and got done to 182 lbs. Hit the weights hard, got a trainer and now Im sitting at 195. Again Im 6ft and 31 yrs old. A buddy of mine who has been body building for years recommended a Deca and Test E cycle for me. I have been reading about this cycle and Im a little worried about the Deca and the libido. Will the Test off set this side effect? Also would it help to take tribulus during my cycle. Im married with two kids and I dont want this to effect me in a negative way. Its just not worth it to me....that being said I want to do this the most effective way. My buddy has planned out what he says is a real simple cycle consisting of two injections a week (Tues and Thurs) I wanted to mix the two so I would have one shot each time. I was curious if I should push the weights really hard for another year and see if I can peak out b/c I feel that I havent yet. He suggested b/c of my age and low test levels already that doing a cycle now would be ok. Not that I dont trust him but I welcome other opinions. I am putting together my PCT now which will consist of clomid, HCG and maybe nolvadex. I also plan to cycle for no more than 12 weeks. My diet overall is in check for the most part. I have pretty good control over what I put in my mouth and can be srict when I need to.

    All things considered Im proud of myself and look like a new person just by dropping the weight but since our minds play tricks on us and we are never happy with what we see in the mirror I wanted to do a cycle.

    Does this cycle seem ok for my first one? What things should I consider or should expect? Im also reading anabolic 2007.

    What is your actual bodyfat?
    Test only is advised for a first user.
    12 weeks @ 500mg/week. test enanthate or cypionate
    Leave deca for now.

    Not sure what my bf is since I lost so much weight Its very hard to tell. I would guess around 18-20 %. The deca was recommended for the gaining size and for some joint pain I have in my elbow's.

    I have seen some folks do a test only cycle but it seems to me that adding deca would be a more efficient cycle....Im dont know, just asking. The book im reading also recommended that deca and test.....just curious, why do you think I should leave deca alone right now?

    would a test and eq cycle be better???

    The reason you should try test only is because you don't know how your body will react. If you have 2 compounds, how will you know where the (possibly unbearable) sides are coming from if you haven't used either before? You already mentioned you are worried about sides. Stick with just test for your first.

    Congratulations on the recent success. If you still feel you can make steady gains, I would set some goals for yourself naturally. Then when you reach them, or progress stops, look into a Test only cycle.

    Thanks...sounds good...for a Test only, should I do Test E. I may give myself more time...I dont know if thats my just stalling in b/c im also terrified to stick myself...dont know if I have the "testicular fortitude" to do so. I may just go through the summer and see what happens...I imagine a lot of folks stay on the fence.

    I also think that you should cut a little more before start a cycle.
    It could be give some cholesterol issues. Get down to at least 15% first.

    ^^^agree +2,
    Test E is a grest beginner cycle, I am 36 and coming close to the end of my 1st cycle. I am on a 12 week Test E but I included a 4 week dbol kicker. Sticking yourself is not hard.

    ok well even after reading a bunch more today, im still on the fence. so if I did a test only cycle do you think a dbol for 4 weeks before would be good...then would the minimum for test e be 12 weeks? I spoke with a guy at the gym tonight and asked him about a test only cycle and he agreed but also said since I would be taking a lower does then other people that doing a test and deca or test and eq would be best...he also said that im not going to see the same kind of gains if I did a 2nd or 3rd cycle like i will see with my first....

    You should gain very nicely off of the test alone. I would again recommend against the advice to stack with deca for a first cycle. As far as dbol, most will tell you not to run it in the first cycle but I'm far too impatient to start a cycle and wait 5 weeks for it to kick in. Theoretically sides "should" be similar between the Dbol and the Enanthate as they are both test, but now you're adding more variables so you won't know for sure what your body is reacting too at first. However, when you kick the Dbol if you still have sides you'll know its the enanthate. My first "cycle" was M1T, and I had no sides, so that's one reason why I would feel comfortable adding Dbol to a Test E cycle. But you never know. Perhaps you are a great responder to gear, and wouldn't need "more" at first to see quality gains. I think you can make quality gains off of a test only, and adding a 19-nor (like Deca or Tren) down the road will give you quality gains again. Saying you won't see your first time gains again isn't really accurate, and definitely isn't enough to justify adding more compounds to your first cycle.

    I understand what your saying....

    so if I do pull the triger....dbol kicker for 4 weeks then run test e for 12?

    yea usually goes something like this

    weeks: 1-12 Test E 400-500mgs Twice a week (mon/thurs)
    Weeks: 1- 4 or 5 Dbol anywhere from 30 - 50 mgs daily (doages split up throughtout the day)

    PCT: start 2 weeks after last injections Look at any of the PCT stickies and come back with one you like and we can critique that

    and when you start keep us post on your results always nice to see how things work for different pple

    why are people givin him advice to cycle when he has been told twice and now a 3rd time he needs to cut some bodyfat first.

    And he was warned what just because he hasnt got to the right % yet he cant get info he asked for?

    and another thing he hasnt even set himself on a date for the cycle so I see no harm in helpin him with some info ha asked for... he has time to work the get his BF% down before he even starts his cycle

    yeah...I dont even have any gear yet so all im doing is getting things lined up for now...this is all an educational experience for me right now...I appreciate all the input I can get up front and duggadoo posts are a lot more helpful then someone who just says loose bf first then lets talk...well I like to have all my info up front.
