Steroid Pro's/Teachers/Educated etc.. Extremely important question.

    Good afternoon-

This is a very important question because it could potentially cost me $55,000 or so. Therefore I greatly appreciate any responses from someone who has insight on this issue.

I recently had my sleep study results returned [the study itself was not done on cycle], and it turns out im not getting enough REM sleep and wake up many times during my sleep. The sleep doc referred me to a maxillofacial surgeon/doctor [JAW SURGEON/DOC].

Last Friday I had a consultation where they had to give me all kinds of X-rays and cat-scans etc.

Turns out my airway is extremely small [6-7mm] and this could be causing my sleep problems. They stated as I get older and tissues get more flabby etc, they almost guarantee OSA [obstructive sleep apnea] diagnosis.

The surgery to fix this requires moving my jaws forward, and requires 9-12 months in braces, and will cost me about $55,000.

QUESTION: I have heard that steroids can cause jaw ISSUES etc WHILE ON. I just [2 weeks ago] got off a 12 week cycle of:

    750/wk Test-E
    500/wk Deca
    400/wk Masteron

Do you think its possible the steroids temporarily rendered some kind of jaw movement that expanded/swelled my jaw and is causing my airway to currently look smaller than it would when im off steroids?? I understand this would be a question for the Jaw doc, but i would prefer not to notify him I was just on a 12 week cycle of steroids when he could potentially be performing a VERY serious surgery on me. [Wont be able to eat solid foods for 3 months or so]

    THANK YOU FOR ANY COMMENTS/INSIGHT.

AAS effect on bone structure is dierctly linked to age, the younger you are the more effect it has.
But generally speaking, it is not such a major effect where it could effect joints movments, not that I ever heard of.
Such issue could occure while on HGH.
So the chances are beyond slim IMO.
And yeah you should tell the Dr. that you were using AAS.

    Good luck

to be honest its hard to conclude anything but i just cant see how (esp at normal doses) that AAS can effect your bone structure THAT much. my opinion is that it is not the problem, but possibly a factor that led to it.

but whether or not AAS did it, i still 100% recommend you to the surgery. i have had jaw surgery and i know its not fun but after a month or two when your back to normal you will look better and sleep better and it will be worth it.

    Thanks.
I am 22, so do you think at my age it could have an effect. In the general scheme of things, I am still relatively young for the type of cycle I was on [in some peoples eyes].

Here is a picture I drew in MSPAINT to illustrate what the X-rays showed...

As you can see, my soft tissue/throat/etc could also be restricting my airway. Is there any way the AAS [because of heavy lifting, increased neck size ETC] could be causing this? As you can see if they move my jaw forward, it will increase the white [airway] size.

Anyway, as stated, another main question is - because of the growth of my neck / throat area potentially while on AAS, could this be temporarily restricting my airway??
