But I'm just confirming, that the big muscle that pops out when I flex - is A.O.K to pin (in the middle - lots of muscle) with a 1" pin.

I like thigh shots, I stay in the upper third portion of the leg between the knee and hip.

I wish there was an easier way to tell. I don't want to do it on the side of my leg.
Also, how do you rest your leg when you pin it? Last time I tried, my leg muscle was tight.

the site Marcus posted will help you a lot, read up. I just sit in a chair and relax the muscle, it's a big area and there are plenty of spots to pin.
