Make sure the needle is tight on the syringe before you start, they are almost always loose out of the package. The first thing I do as I unwrap the syringe is snug up the needle.

    Yes.
it hurts less if you draw with one pin and change it to inject....people think it is more sterile but it is,nt..... my doctor/nurse draws and pins with the same pin all the time.....an also you cant change a diabetic needle....

injecting air helps as it creates a negative pressure vacuum, meaning it puts pressure in the vial which helps push the oil into the syringe, heating it is a good idea

if it's a vial, you should inject air equal to the volume of compound you wish to withdraw.

After you insert, blow in air, when drawing back, draw slow to help allow it to be drawn into the needle.

Switching pins after drawing is a person preference. I personally changeto get a nice sharp needle when injecting.

i've timed mine several times, oil based test p for instance takes roughly about 20 seconds for 1 ml with a 23 gauge. i dont think thats long at all..... how long does it take for you with a 21?

nother technique is not to hold the needle at an angle when drawing from the vial. Sometimes the rubber will not seat well against the metal and wont draw out as good.

What ive found to be the easiest way to draw from a vial is stick in another needle (only) whilst you are drawing. This alleviates the pressure.

hey thats not a bad idea smitty
    took me about 13 seconds
    wasnt too bad

but im gonna go alot slower next time

and i cant tell the difference with injecting with the same needle or a new needle..even while using a 21 guage
