Arghhhhhh wasting gear!!!

Iv'e got some Test-E which im shooting 2x a week and im using an amp opener on the bottles.Problem is no matter how carefull I am I seem to keep getting tiny shards of glass in my amps...im on week two and ive already wasted bout 5 amps and $$$$ as im in the UK i cant seem to find a place online that will ship amp filters to the UK!? anyone got any ideas this is costing me a fortune lol....

I cant find a company in the UK that does them Not sure what US ones ship to England if at all?...

wrong. syringe filters do NOT work in reverse.

Same here. the pieces of glass you can see would most likely not fit through the needle when you draw, and pieces of glass that would fit through the needle you probably wouldn't even see anyway.

use the coffee filter as a hat.

i am clutz and break amps frequently and get shards inside but still use it, never had a problem.

I very much doubt you'de get any glass through a syringe/needle.

I just put a towel over the amp and break it off, never got glass in it at all. If I did I was unaware.

and no i would not use a coffee filter it is poris and it will soak up a lot of your oil. with all filters you will lose some oil due to the purging process. i would say not to worry about it. like said before glass that you can see will not fit through the needle.

dude you're wasting perfectly good gear. a little glass in the amp wont hurt you. draw with a 20g or higher needle... you're fine. just be sure to sterilize teh amp first with alcohol sot eh shards dont contaminate.

dude my test e amps always suck to open i just take the extra time with a amp opener and wrap a towel on the amp and use a towel on the top of the amp, and the glass wont get through, trust me if it takes forever to draw up that mollases test through a needle than you wont get glass in the needle

Use the amp opener to indent the neck of the amp alittle and then hold both ends of the amp with a towel in your hand and snap the neck.

i ask that same question in nursing school and my instructor said she has never had glass travel up the syringe.

they sell an amp opener that comes with a file. all u do is file around the whole top and it is much easier to break off.

there not suppose to be used that way but we not using them to disinfect the brew but to prevent injection of glass so unless you feel like drawing then filtering into sterile container then redrawing to inject, us it in reverse

BIC pen cap has worked for me. never had a problem opening amps. I grab the amp just below the neck where it breaks with towel and push bic pen cap away from you. Its as easy as that.

You have to break it off, not crush it hehe. Try loosening your grip.
