Steroids and illness

Do anabolic steroids affect illnesses, diseases, etc.? I heard something about this on the radio. They said that steroids sped up the effects of disease in the human body. They said like steroids grow muscles, they also grow any disease in you body.

Is there any truth to this?

so that should mean that us men will die quicker since we already have testosterone in our bodies. they give roids to aids and cancer patients and i doubt they do it cause they want them to die faster.

I thought that it was probably another "steroids are the devil" supporter. Actually I think it was Terry Bradshaw who made these statements. He said that some of his teammates were dieing young because of their steroid use and because of what I mentioned above.

Probably a load of crap.

I thought the reason why steroids are around is to be used as medicine to help the body fight against disease. Nope, forget about that CNN just told me they kill everyone and anyone that uses them.

LOL!! Well I feel better about that now. I know the media hits steroid use pretty hard, but I didn't know if they had something here. I know that there are MANY different kinds of steroids out there and not all are used for disease treatments.

Like facile said, I didn't want a cold to turn into the friggin flu!!
