It's my first injection, and I tried 25 gauge, and couldn't break the skin.

Does going in at 45 degrees help?

Nope, don't go 45 degrees, 25ga is fine, just man up and shoot. Once you get past the first one you'll be fine.

Why 28ga? How long of a pin?

dont be afraid to add some pressure it'll break and a 25g is as small as your gonna get unless your shooting with a slim pin. My first shot took like 2min of pushing against the skin just was to scared to push hard. Once you break the skin its like butter. You can always have someone do it for you.

I use 22g 1 1/2" for glutes and 25g 1" every where else.

steve, just stab it to get it started them push in slowly. its all in your head. Either you really need to be in the gym or your not using the right pin if you can't break the skin, it is pointed and not flat and round on the end right?

unless you used the same needle to draw from a nalgene bottle they'll be sharp enough to break the skin.

Why 28ga? How long of a pin?

its the only thing that is available around me and its only 1/2 so i shoot in my delt or my calf. it does hit muscle cause i get the muscle soreness and i am seeing results

the cops around here are really strict so im not trying to bring to much in but next cycle ill hopefully get 1" and maybe 25g

there are several factors - muscle size...bf%. What are ur stats? Where are you injecting?

25g is as small as i go. 22g for glutes.

i would be careful suggesting this. once or twice a week is fine but daily or every other day is gonna cause serious scar tissue. frequent injects should be 25's i cant even feel it anymore.
