Test bloodwork results
I'm 25 and I just got my test levels checked. results show test @ 400. Is this low? My doc said trt may be in my future but my liver functions are high because some dipsh*t shat in my food...no lie...hep A. My liver functions should be back to norm in a couple weeks. is 400 low enough at my age for trt?

Exactly. I dont rag on people often, but there isnt a single person you could say that to and expect them to keep a straight face.

pooped in your food? my god man. I will sympathize since these jokesters wont. thats fVcked man.
400 is low, and TRT shouldnt really effect your liver so i dont understand why he's holding back? Is it and endo or just a gp your seeing? an endocrinologist would better suit your need here bud.
Good luck, and if you dont mind me asking.... how'd you figure out he shat in your food?

Hey bro, you may of had the same. You ever had food poisoning? Well that could have been hepatitis A. approximately 90% of hepatitis A goes undiagnosed. Hepatitis A goes away by itself.....and i didn't mean some duche took a dump on my fillet mignon. Hep a is contracted when some one takes a sh*t and wipes their a** and doesnt wash properly then makes you a delicious shit sampler.

I've read that average for men ages 19-40 test should be between 200-900. So if I'm @ 400 and only 25, that can't be good right?
If I were to start trt, I would have to take this for life...maybe 20-30 years, is this even safe?

Thanks bro....this was just my regular doc. I was still sick about 1 week after pukefest 2008 which was on july 4 of all days. I had been drinking too. Hep A food poisoning which smashes the liver and some 4th of July binge drinking = very, very bad things.
I had been feeling bad and kinda down for a few months, so I thought it could be something more serious. Went to my regular physician and he guessed Hep A (see above for how contracted). He was right. But I asked him to test for testosterone because hep a only lasts for a few weeks.
I got a follow up blood test next week to make sure my hep is gone and I'm gonna push the trt. Don't know why he didn't start trt immediately...He said my liver functions wouldn't allow it. I might make an apt with an endo.

Before you jump to any conclusions too prematurely, 400 total test is on the low side for your age...agreed....BUT did you get free/bioavailable testosterone levels measured...it'd give a clearer picture of what's going on IMHO

yes, free test in test not bound by shbg; but albumin bound test can also be used readily by the body (it's loosely bound, unlike shbg); so free test + albumin bound test = bioavailable test
if you didn't get it in the report, chances are they didn't test for it; you'll have to re-take the bloodtest most likely... if you have a naturally low shbg count and aromatase enzymes, then your body probably will not need to produce so much test in order for it to be used efficiently by your body...doesn't necessarily mean you have hypogonadism
keep me posted though
cheers
