Low Calorie Anabolics?
I looked at the two articles below, and I was wondering if there would be a problem using either of these stacks on a low calorie diet. I'm on an optifast diet that is 980 calories a day. I'm planning to switch over to regular food and diet but I'm under doctors supervision for another month on the optifast program. Any information would be awesome. Thanks
Ryan

Diet is 90% of gains.
With only taking in 980 cals, you would not gain a lb with aas.
Without knowing why you are under doctors supervision, or your stats, we can't suggest anything.
The only advice I can give is to wait untill you are healthy before thinking about aas.

As previously stated it would be damn near impossible to gain anything on that diet. Even with a very strong anabolic that also improves feed efficiency (tren ) you would still prob be doing good to hold onto the muscle you have.
Why would you do this diet? Doesn't seem healthy.
Also, Im not to sure if you would see good results with either of those stacks if you weren't in an extreme calorie deficient. Look like bs to me but I have no knowledge or experience with them.

Stats
Ok Here are my Stats. Yes I was severly obese. I started at 6'2.5" 383 pounds. I've lost 91 pounds in 4 months on this diet under a weight loss clinic. We weigh in every week and do lab work every 2 weeks. Its $500 a month for food and about $600 to get started.
Taken from the TANITA BODY COMPOSITION ANALYZER TBF-300A:
AGE 26
HEIGHT 6ft 2.5in
WEIGHT 292lb
BMI 37.7
FAT% 32.9%
BMR 11301 kJ
2701kcal
IMPENDENCE 382 ohms
FAT MASS 98.0lb
FFM 199.81 -this is how much my bones muscle weighs
TBW 144.21 -this is how much my water weight is
That is the reason for the crazy diet. I wanted to know if I could do the stacks on it or if I needed to go to a regular builders diet? Looks like a builders diet is what you guys think all ready. Thanks for any comments.

great progress bro; keep it up. If I were in your situation, I would continue with what the doctors have you doing, until you reach your goals. Once things have fully stabilized, and you are back on a proper diet, I would continue training and dieting naturally. You should be able to make outstanding gains, with such a drastic change in lifestyle.
Goodluck

I think your headed in the right direction for serious trouble.
You need to slow down your weight loss a bit, I know it sucks to hear that but it's not healthy to lose that much weight that quickly. For one your gonna end up with excess skin if you continue, two it's gonna effect your organs losing weight like that.
Try to keep your weight loss at 1% of your total BW per week, you may be able to push out 2% but I wouldn't do that every week. Also realize that while you lose fat, you gain muscle so your fat loss may be more significant than you think when reading a scale.
Seriously, you could eat 3000 calories a day and still lose weight and maintain/grow muscle.
Under eating causing your body to eat muscle and store fat, you gotta eat to lose.
Good job on taking a step in the right direction but sometimes the fastest way isn't generally the best way.
Good luck
-edit-
On the doctor thing, if your Doc is 'aggressively' monitoring your progress and diet than maybe he has a plan, I do know that you can't maintain that caloric intake and stay healthy.Last edited by Pac Man; 07-24-2008 at 05:13 PM.

i agree especially if all you eat are shakes and bars. losing the weight is great, but i can't see how that is healthy, especially over an extended period of time. i would think if you can stick to a strict diet of real food, you could easily continue to lose weight and still take in around 2000 calories.
after the 4 months, do you have more recent stats? like what your bf dropped to compared to what your free fat mass/ water weight dropped to? because such an extreme diet has to be burning more than just fat

People actually can make pretty good progress with low activity on low cal/high protien diets. The thing is though, at that bodyfat% losing muscle really isint going to be an immediate issue so I really don`t see why you need the anabolics.

Pretty Cool to see it like that. I haven't lost very much on the scales in a while kinda been up and down 5 pounds or so. But I'll knock a little more off before hittin the workout hard.
Thanks for all the comments.
