    question about aspirating

    okim using a 25g 1" needle
i cant even get the needle to suck up the oil, just creates a vacuum. so i dump the amp down the back.

so then i prep the needle and get the air out

stab myself and even when i try to aspirate justhas that same vaccuum feel. i can see a little bubble stretch out. but im just needing to know the proper way, im sure im not doing it tottaly right.

    thanks

You may want to switch to a smaller gauge needle, somewhere around 19 - 23 gauge should work better. I use a 25g 5/8" needle for my Delts, and I have to use a pump method, it takes a little longer to draw from the bottle, because I have to draw back, and release, draw back and release again, and so on until I get the correct amount. When I aspirate , as long as no blood comes up, then you should be fine. I sometimes get a vacuum feel too when I aspirate, sometimes there is the air bubble, sometimes blood, so I know it is still working.

    Good luck and BE CAREFUL

uhhh, okay, lets try this.. next time u wanna get ur gear from your amp to your syringe, saying u wanna do 1cc, load 2cc's of air into your syringe, push that air into the amp and then pull. it takes away the slow vacuum in the amp...

You shouldnt have to inject air into an amp. Only when using vials should you inject the air equal to the amt you are withdrawling. Not flaming if it was just a wording mixup. Dont want to see anyone mess up their gear.

I mainly use 25G 1" pins even to draw and I never have a problem. It is a bit slower than 23G or 22G but not that bad. Also I am always able to aspirate with the 25G pin.

huh? yea this ones got me lost too.

yea i love the 25 gauge, i dont even feel a pinch or anything. i was just concerned with the aspirating ( just have that vacuum feel, but i do see an air bubble when i do it) , ihave no prob dumping the oildown the backof the syringe, way faster

switch to ethyl oleate and problem solved. From my experience, injecting with a 30g with ethyl oleate is equivalent of using a 21g with reg oil. I used a 22g today i can push a cc through in under a second flat.

Just draw with a 22 or 23 and shoot with a 25. Small pieces of glass can break when you open an amp, no sense dumping those into the syringe.
