If someone was to do a yle and there BF % was over 12% would this redue their gains sine test seems to turn into estrogen in fat cells?

yes. also if you are over 12% it shows a bad diet.
a bad diet will also reduce your gains.
The aromatase enzyme is located in the endoplasmic reticulum of the cell and its activity is regulated by tissue specific promoters that are in turn controlled by hormones, cytokines, and other factors. The principal action of the enzyme transforms androstenedione to estrone and testosterone to estradiol. The aromatase enzyme can be found in many tissues including gonads, brain, adipose tissue, placenta, blood vessels, skin, bone, endometrium as well as in tissue of endometriosis, uterine fibroids, breast cancer, and endometrial cancer.
Factors known to increase aromatase activity include age, obesity, insulin, gonadotropins, and alcohol.
Therefore the more fat you have the more sides you will get.
I would say that there are a few people in the NFL (lineman) thats over 12% who use. Maybe even a couple powerlifters.
of course people do it, its just not favorable
I feel at my strongest and acheive more bulk at 14-16%. Around 9% is the lowest I've been but my power was very low, like 30% less and I just didn't feel big. Not saying 14-16% is better than 12%, its just what works for me.
What I'd really like to know is where the sweet spot is for bulking?
For sure too high and too low BF can be an issue for gaining mass
i can't comment on how a cycle goes at higher bf, but for me, i was my highest (13.5) at the end of last summer, down to my lowest (7.5) at the end of wrestling season. soccer and wrestling cut it all, no diet or anything.
but i feel better overall now, sometimes more motivated too, around 8-9%. also i would rather put on 10 solid pounds than 30 with water and higher bf
thing is my diet is good, but im still improving it, but i want to bulk some more before i lean down, so i was just curious
