    Blood Pressure

Does anyone know what kind of increase in blood pressure to expect with steroids , or how long it takes for it to return to normal after cessation. I've gained about 25 lb from my first cycle (testE 500mg/week X 10 weeks). I'm on my tenth week right now, I haven't be doing any aerobics the entire time. My blood pressure use to run around 115-120/70 now it is 130/70. I know steroids cause sodium and water retention in the kidneys, just wondering if anyone else has had the same kind of changes?

I didn't even know it can go that high. My highest was 180/120 and I was worried and checking it everyday.

O h yeah it can...I went to the fire station to have it checked and the guy almost fell off his chair when he saw how high it was...he wanted to take me to the E.R in the ambulance immediately, my wife was with me so she took me. He had to check it 2x and even called in his supervisor to make sure it was right.

your bottom number is what u really need to be concerned about anything over 90 is considered borderline high you are perfectly fine the norm should be 120/80 the top number will fluctuate with your activity the bottom is your resting rate

Blood pressure is a measruement oh how much pressure is exerted in the arterial walls as the heart pumps. When we say 120/80 it refers to systolic and diastolic reading of that pressure in the given artery "typical brachial artery is measured". The systolic number is the pressure of blood as it is pumped out of heart and diastolic is a measurement of the lowest pressure within the arterial walls during each heart beat. They now say less then 120/80 down to 100/60 is normal below that is hypotension and 120/80-139/89 prehypertension, 140/90-159/99 stage 1 hypertension and 160/100 or higher stage II. If you are worried about you BP during a cycle start taking hawthorne berry/extract it increase coronary blood flow and decrease blood pressure. you can get it at walmart
