    18 gauge for drawing?

I was listening to the Bubba the Love Sponge Show with Danny Bonaduce yesterday and they were talking steroids . During their conversation they were talking about drawing their test with a 18 gauge needle and shooting it with a 23. My question is does drawing with an 18 really all that beneficial versus drawing with the same size needle that you shoot with?

will draw up alot easier but 18g is to big imo.. end up tearing up the rubber stopper after awhile.. i use a 20g to draw.. you dont want to use the same pin to inj that you draw with anyway

Yes, correct. I like to reuse my bottles for sachets, and use a smaller 23g to draw.

why can,t you draw and inject with the same needle? The doctor and nurses do it all the time!
the only benefit is a sharper needle to inject with, if you change pins!
changing pins is not any cleaner.
anything inthat vial is drawn intothe syringe, through the needle!
changing pins is not any cleaner!
And what about hgh, insuline and igf? you can.t even change pins on insuline syringes!
This is like an ole' wives tale put in gear terms, (changing pins,LOL!!!!!!)
there is also not much diference in an 18 and 20.
I draw with an 18 all the time so it don't take 5 mins.
I only change pins for a sharper pin "it is no cleaner"

why not buy new bottles, stopers.seals and a crimper?
Or just stopers, seals and acrimper and clean the old bottles?
If you are worried about tearing up the stopers.
This is cleaner than reusing the whole bottle stoper and seal than reuseing the old stuff??????

a small sliver of rubber may be in the needle if you do that...you may get an infection or a foreign body injected into yourself...and 18 ga needles tear up the stopper and increase the chances of remaininig juice to become contaminated....

I can guarantee how reckless people are with the this stuff they don't all change pins every time or have drawn and injected with the same pin!
you are speaking for thousands of people?

Draw and shoot with a 23g same needle always...What's the rush with drawing anyway? I've been through hundreds of needles too with never an infection.

This is exactly what I do, draw with an 18 ga. needle and inject with a 23 ga. I used to draw and inject with a 23 ga., but it just takes too long to pull a couple of cc's with thicker solutions, plus the 23 ga. is dulled by penetrating the stopper, which results in more scar tissue.

I don't reuse bottles, so the stopper breakdown isn't a problem when using a 10 ml or 20 ml bottle once. I'd rather buy presterilized bottles if I'm home-brewing or transferring from sachets, they're cheap.

agree, 18's are used to draw like 20-30+cc's, not daily

talk to someone like me ( a former piercer ) i can tell yo all about needles and syringes. different cuts , ) from single to quad cuts ) ( 23g to 00g needles )

those sharp edges are far more "fragile ( flexible )" then you know.

    it makes a big difference.

well you are talking to a now practicing tattoo/piercing person 11.5 years of it.
so what do YOU want to know? I have ran my own shop for 5.5 years and counting!
read my thread again. I think you misunderstood!
it basically says use a different pin to inject becaus it is sharper!

    i draw with a 19 and blast with a 21 gauge.
21 isnt bad to withdraw wither although change the needle before jabbing incase u hit the bottom of the bottle and damage the needle
