Will test heal persistent muscle problems?

I'm guessing yes, since it increases muscle anabolism. I have a persistent problem with my left bicep for more than 2 months now. Taking a month off has not solved the issue. Im wondering if it will heal properly during my test cycle, which will be a couple of months from now?

I also have a tendon issue in the elbow on the same hand, but I know that test does not heal tendons.

Ok guys, I'm bumping this old post, since I still have concerns.

Like I said I've given this shit some rest, but my bicep is still not 100% ok. It's getting better, but I can't hit my arms and back 100% until it does, so I'm doing what I can at the moment (about 80% efficiency).

I'm cutting at the moment and plan to start my cycle come November. About 3 months cycle + 1.5 month PCT should put me to Feb-March by the time all is said and done. I can't afford to push my cycle any further because I'm going to be travelling extensively come March and obviously I can't travel with pins and gear.

Question is, will the 500 mg/wk of test e be able to heal my bicep and allow me to hit my exercises with all my intensity? Any useful info appreciated!

If anything, it will actually work against you.

I say this because tendons/ligaments will not strengthen as fast as muscles, so you run the risk of really hurting yourself if your bicep isn't 100%.

How much rest have you given it? Maybe think about going to physical therapy and get some electrostim or ultrasound to help repair the muscle.

I personally think you will make things more complicated for yourself even @ 500mg /wk.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Well it is the *muscle* (bicep) that still hurts. The elbow joint pain is almost non-existent now. But the damn bicep still hurts, especially with hammer curls. Which is why I was wondering that test may help, since it will help muscle anabolism. Is this correct reasoning?

Yes, but think about it...If your bicep isn't 100%, how could you know that your tendons/ligaments are at 100%? If this problem has been nagging you, it's likely your entire arm is weaker due to the bicep issues.

You could create more issues with this imbalance.

Good point. I'll wait and see what happens in the next 3 weeks. Thanks for the input.

what the heck is a "bicep issue"?

explain this. i can think of over 100 off the top of my head. You should explain what your "problem" is.

And i'm not really sure about doing a cycle to help your body heal faster. might be wise to see a sports physician.

bicep issue = basically pain in the bicep muscle on certain lifts, like the aforementioned hammer curls. Non-hammer BB or DB curls do NOT hurt. Also the pain has been going away and I'm pretty sure it will be gone in another 2 months, I just can't wait that long as I mentioned.

Well I'm not doing the cycle to help my body heal. I've been preparing for this cycle for a long time, the bicep injury just popped up 2-3 months back. So I'm wondering if it will heal if I continue with my plans, just coz the test is supposed to increase anabolism.

well, the fact that you can do some bicep exercises without pain would point the injury away from the actual muscle itself and into something like a joint problem that radiates pain or a ligament issue. This could be aggravated due to a certain exercise position.

I tore the ligament that holds the radial head to the proximal ulna. This seemed to cause severe pain when doing underhand curls but i could do overhand curls just fine because it didn't stress the ligament. I just did exercises that didn't hurt it and it healed itself. (ligaments will never full repair, but they will repair to the point that pain will subside, just in case you thought i was crazy)
