Syringe Filters

I need to transfer an injectable from a UGL to a sealed sterile vial. If I want to run it through a syringe filter, what kind should I be looking for? I have prop, eq, and primo.

I've done it more times than I can remember and never used a filter...its not necessary.

I second that Dirty call out......I know it is not necessary, but it only takes a min or two, and costs almost nothing.....I guess i am jus cautious when it comes to stuff like that.....But since i brew all my gear, i dont have to worry about tranfering dirty UGL....Its all on me....

I agree again. I would absolutely 100% filter when transferring into a vial. But for the original poster, you will have a much easier time with a .40 millipore filter rather than a .22. Also, always buy extras, they come in handy.

I agree with Jigga on the size of the filter.....a .40millipore is plenty small enough to filter your gear, and will probably have an easier time than with the .22......

i agree only when referring to UG gear. I'm not a big fan of it in the first place so i probably wouldn't be dealiing with it but if I did, i would filter it myself

otherwise, I don't filter. When I got a cycle of cido's i broke them all open and transferred them into a 50ml vial....didn't use a filter, not needed
