AAS and College
yes i know meat heads and college isnt a very common mix, but Im sure there are some of you out there. Now what I wanted to ask is exactly how did aas affect your studies? Im 19 years old and have enough credits to almost be a junior. I plan to graduate and possibly do grad school. Would doing a cycle play a significant distraction to regular studies? I was stupid enough to cycle my senior year of hs so i have a somewhat realization on it because i did notice that i got distracted from school. no im not saying aas made me less intelligent (atleast i hope not) but im saying that i was to concerned about sports and pu*sy to ever go to class or stay in and study. although this can be blaimed 100% on irresponsibility, i was just wondering if theres ever been studies of the interaction between intelligence and aas.

Not to my knowledge.
But this is interesting because my lil bro is at UCLA and is a member of the dark side. I can ask him?

AAS + College = Horny (90% of time) + Hot Chicks (around you) + Sorority Parties = Not a very good mix, unless you can handle both REALLY well!
hahahah

Me+AAS= 1000% Horny 24/7...

I honestly believe it has dumbed me down a bit. I dont know for sure if thats what caused it, but your education is more important and i wouldnt take the risk.

yes please do ask your bro at ucla, i could only imagine how much fun hes having with with all the cali girls in LA. but then agian, the other guy said studies are more important and i couldnt agree more. (once you have a high bank roll it dosent even matter how big you are)....but the thought of having a college degree, cash, and jacked, kinda gets me thinking...

AAS and college have nothing to do with your actions.....THis was due to your immaturity.......This is another reason why kids should not do steroids ......Just because there is alcohol and girls around doesnt mean you have to act like a jackass, and ignore the important things...your studies, your diet, your training....
I bartend in the most popular nightclub where i live.....I still eat my meals on schedule, dont drink, and dont act like a jackass......There are even more chances for pu$$y, drugs, drinking.....but my maturity allows me to make the right decisions....
If you cant handle AAS and normal life, then you shouldnt be doing steroids in the first place....

You'll be fine. I'm in college and about to cycle. Manage your time and you'll do fine. AAS take up maybe 30seconds a week (injections). sleep, go to class, lift, eat, study and you'll be fine

I just talked to him Dream...
He says the only problem he has is eating during class...
Other than that its the way you act. You control your actions, not gear.
He also says the skanks are a plus...
Really, he did say that...^^^

how many credits is he taking? You don't have to eat during class...you should be taking notes and paying attention...he can eat before then again after, and a protein shake during maybe.

You have grown up to a 19year old kid......you ae still too young by a couple of years....
There is no reason that anabolics should mess up your studies, that just shows your immaturity.....
I bring a small cooler with me whereever i go....this is so if i get stuck somewhere, i still have my meals right there......Its college, you can eat in class....

Using AAS in college will not affect your studies. Honestly, from my recent personal expierence, dieting is affecting my studies. Eating right in college is a huge pain in the ass but it CAN be done. It requires a lot of discipline. Make sure you can keep diet on point while in college, then make your decision to use AAS or not.

i go to college and am currently on a cycle...the ONLY bad part is sometimes if i dont have time to train becasue of work then ill skip a few classes to get in the gym. another thing is if you like to drink and ur not sure that you can control yourself it might not be a good idea.......another thing is the hard college chair the day after a shot lmao

Interesting study that goes against every other study i've found before. Most studies find some correlation between higher test levels and lower IQ. This study looks at 'successful' vs 'not successful' men. http://cat.inist.fr/?aModele=afficheN&cpsidt=14148428 It actually shows a positive correlation between test levels and your ability to be successful.

I think you ought to wait at least a couple years personally... I myself waited until I was 23 even though I seriously considered and started doing my homework on gear when I was 21. All that research is why I thought it best to wait and I think it paid off... Pay attention to the more experienced guys on this site and it'll save you money, time, and most importantly your health, while maximizing your potential....
I put on about 18 lbs. over those two years I waited and that was while suffering, a 2 broken ribs (no benching for 2 months, work related), 5 torn ligaments and tendons in my right ankle and knee (no calf raises or leg lifts for 3 months and only light stuff for another 1-2, snowboarding accident) and a partially torn left bicep (2 weeks before light lifting, 4 weeks heavy). Just to put it in perspective... If you train right, DIET right, and have proper rest, you'll have great success!!!
I'm on my first cycle right now and am in graduate school working on my Master's. The only problems I've had are the same ones I had as an undergrad who'd never used gear. Waking up to go to class, actually paying attention once there, retaining the info discussed, and not letting the ladies occupy all my free time. Gym always took and still takes precedent though....
As far as eating in class goes, you should know if a meal will occur during classtime beforehand. If so, either tell your professor ahead of time you're on a strict diet and have to eat at timed intervals and do it without interuptting the class (generally they're fine with this, if not say it's a doctors order... you could be diabetic or something right?... and yes I've done it...) or just step out of the room and eat in the hall real quick. If you do eat in the class, try to have something that doesn't smell too strong or it will draw attention REALLY FAST!!!
Have all your meals you'll need for the day prepared in advance and ready to go with you... It might look weird carrying a big gym bag full of food around everywhere, but you have to eat to grow!Last edited by fit4ever180; 09-21-2008 at 12:29 AM.

I am currently in college and am 3 weeks in on my first cycle. So far i have not had any problems with studies, it has actually given me the inspiration to get up before class and hit the gym...making me more awake during class.

agreed...you are too young, but AAS and college if you can balance fun and school, is probably one of the best edges to have while in college.
