I think I may have injected some syringe ink, not sure
Yes, I know, it sounds incredibly stupid. But I use satchets and I extract them into a syringe for the pre loaded amount. Put the top back on the syringe. Put them back in the wrapper. Then put the wrapper in a sealed plastic bag for storage.
Dont worry, it works fine. But I found ink all over my fingertips just now. And I didnt swab the tip of the needle before I put it in. I'm more than likely fine as the ink is just from excess oil mixing with the syringe on the ink and washing it off.
But has anyone else had this problem? Do they make the inks uhhh, human body degradable? So that it breaks down if you accidentally get any of it inside of you. I know it all sounds very dumb, but I couldnt find anything on a google search.
I know inks can be poisonous, or well I know lead can be poisonous, but I feel fine and Im 99% sure I didnt get any in there, as the loose ink was outside the syringe. Im just wondering if some may have mixed with oil and ran to the needle tip. Just a slight gaffe. I hope! :PLast edited by nhl1; 10-01-2008 at 09:52 AM.

yah, when extracting from the satchet, sometimes the hole widens after multiple syringes, and some of the oil leaks out. The oil runs down your hand and when your handling the syringes you get the oil on the outside and it mixes with the ink displays that mark the syringe amount levels. And I'm sure you can figure out the rest from there.

I really dont think that a trace amount of ink will do any harm to you. Consider your situation a learning experience so it wont happen again.

Yah I didn't touch the pin top. And of course I always swab my injection site. I feel fine. Just hadn't seen that much ink on my fingertips before. Oh well, if you never hear from me again.
You know why.

why not just transfer it to sealed sterile vials upon receipt like 99% of the other people using that gear?
