~ PLEASE! Help My Fat Ass ~
OK, here goes. I am a former High School football player who after quitting smoking and being domesticated blew up like a damn balloon(gained 70+lbs in 3 years). I never have been cut or shredded, but have always had good size and strength. I was able to carry 240-250 lbs pretty well(somewhat . I've never used any "gear" but I feel father time hunting my ass down. I've trained on and off for about 12+ years. Before these last few months I had a LONG stretch of NO weight training(maybe 3 years), just Basketball, Golf, and some Tennis. I'm still "athletic" and I have a somewhat decent amount of muscle mass, it's just covered in layers of FAT GOO!!! I've had enough and I'm looking for some pharmaceutical help. I will now list my stats and main goals.
STATS:
Age: 37
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 320 lbs (insert fat joke here)
Body Fat %: If I had to guesstimate I'd say around 30+%
Years Lifting: Sporadically 12+, recently 3 months consistently.
Motivation: Through the roof.
GOALS:
1. Destroy and shrink as many fat cells as possible, as quickly as possible.
2. Since I need to SEVERELY restrict calories, I want to keep my body from cannibalizing what muscle I already have.
3. Some moderate size and strength gains. I don't want to get HUGE and Jurassic strong, but some small gains would be nice. I know I don't have the training base in order to get huge fast anyway.
4. Use the fact I'm using "gear" as a motivational factor in order to keep going in the right direction.
5. Keep what hair I have, so I'm trying avoid "gear" that would affect my DHT levels to keep my follicles where they belong.
6. I also want to avoid "gear" that is especially hard on my liver. I currently have elevated liver enzymes, but it's not TOO high.
7. Be able(if possible of course) to drink me some beers every 4 to 6 weeks ONLY, just to keep my sanity. I can however cut it out completely if need be.
So, in a nutshell, keep my muscle, make small to moderate gains, keep my hair, protect my liver.
One last thing, I'm well aware that my diet and cardio are KEY elements, and neither will be a problem for me. Despite my complete free fall into fatness, I do have a strong will and desire to regain some glory before it's too late.
So.....help!!! I'm looking for some really detailed info. Apart from what to take, I need to know how much, and when. I know It's a tall order, but I have been lurking for a few weeks and everyone here seems very cool and willing to help.
Thanks in advance to any and all replies.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the quick replies.
I do plan on hitting those forums, thanks Big. Thanks for the links, war. DNP sounds really dangerous, rhino...scary stuff!
Now, I have calculated my BMR at 3292 that's with a desk/sitting job. I want to cut my calories to about 1800, I know it's low, but I need/want results quickly. So obviously my biggest concern is catabolism. That's why I thought some gear could help me keep what muscle I have when I drop calories so drastically. Couldn't I benefit from a modest cycle of Deca or something along those lines to protect me from my bodies reaction to being starved?
Thanks againLast edited by Fattman Cruthers; 10-02-2008 at 08:48 PM.

Well Deca should really be run with Test... And neither are a good idea for you at your current weight and BF%...
Continued lifting and a proper amount of protein will keep your muscle...

OK, so just eating 300-320g of protein daily will spare my muscle at 1800 calories a day? No significant catabolism?
Where do you think I should be, weight and BF% wise before I can start using a little something for some modest size/strength gains?
Anybody else have any thoughts on me possibly using DNP , or DNP in general?
ThanksLast edited by Fattman Cruthers; 10-02-2008 at 09:18 PM.

^^ Yep...
I think you should be sub-12% but 15 is the absolute minimum...
I dont think youll hit it if your 320 and 30+% right now till you get down to roughly 220... But hey, its been done before bro... Just remember it took you all these years to get that fat, its not gonna go away over night...
I think a fair estimate would be minimum a year to 3 years... It all depends on you really....

I think you are going a little overboard with the understanding of your muscles getting catabolized. Get in the gym, start making smart food choices and keep researching while you get thinner.
IMO, quick way to start losing weight is exercising with weights, not just cardio. you need to build lean muscle tissue. the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn maintaing it. Something that helped me right away(when i was trying to lose a lot of weight), is cutting all liquids out of my diet except water. no fruit juices, alcohol, milk, sodas...nothing but water. do not drink your calories. start getting used to eating 6 small meals a day. as you continue to research these forums youll start to see what the proper food choices will be. obviously no more fried foods, pizza, 6 servings of pasta a day. they all need to go away. no one is going to hand you this information like you want. trust me, youll be better for it by studying what is said here. so get reading, then come back with something we can work with and critique to help you on your way to a leaner you.
you need to wait on using gear. Your body fat levels will only exasperate the sides of steroids and wont make them fun at all. also, think about this. If you get to strong to fast in your condition, you are at great risk of seriously hurting yourself.. albeit muscle tears to tendons tears. when that happens.. you are even worse off than you are now.
hope that helps!Last edited by AdamGH; 10-02-2008 at 09:37 PM.

OK, dudes. No gear for me...for now.
How about some small help with 2 other things?
1. How much protein do I need to ingest daily?
2. How about a good "losers" workout plan to follow?
Thanks a bunch

do not use dnp , its not what you need. Calories isn't everything and calculators for fat loss simply do not work. You only need to eat clean, exercise will help also.

I am 6'2" and was 295lbs last summer. I dropped a quit 30lbs using a modified keto diet. My next drop in wt came when I switched up to a healthy clean diet as well as cycling T3 and clen and building up my cardio on a stationary bike from 8min/day to 50min/day, something I'm doing 6 days/wk.
Right now I'm @ 234lbs and started an anavar cycle (not for you re: hair loss, etc) and will continue to cycle clen and possibly T3. I definitely have a higher bf than guys around here consider reasonable to start a cycle, and I also have significantly less lifting experience than is accepted for starting a cycle.
I have a cycle log in the cycle log section titled:
Middle aged fattie + anavar= ? (responses vary from RIP to Ripped lol) we shall see....
There is another guy with a log that dropped a bunch of weight cycling T3 and clen, I think it's in the cycle section too but not sure.
At your weight you eat very unhealthy. That is obvious and undeniable. And while it's not impossible to theoretically go from eating very unhealthily over a period of years to eating clean and balanced meals with minimal/no slips, that would be an extreme exception rather than the rule.
I took a lot of grief for starting my cycle and I have a very, very clean diet and was 70lbs lighter than you at the same height before I decided to do it (and 85lbs lighter before I introduced the steriod ). Granted, you likely have more muscle on your frame than me, but if I was friggin huge at 295 you gotta be huge at 320 or whatever.
Do what you want. I don't necessarily agree with the drop below 17% or 15% bf before touching steroids , but with 50% bf (that would mean you would have 0% bf at a weight of 210lbs, like paper thin skin thinner than any pro bodybuilder you have ever seen on stage during contest) jacking yourself with test and deca or whatever.......... I'd suggest no.
Get down to 270 with diet and exercise and re-evaluate. Learn how to eat right, and more importanly get in the habbit of doing it considtently. It's easy to loose weight, it's hard to make those permanent changes necessary to maintain.
Also get comprehensive blood work.
My cholesterol used to be 260 something. It's 136 now and I did that without drugs. And I'm still fat (by standards in this forum).Last edited by 40plusnewbie; 10-07-2008 at 01:47 PM.

http://forums.steroid.com/showthread.php?t=269240 check that out and do some research on it
but as you said diet and cardio will be key, you'll find it hard retaining or gaining even small amounts while restricting calories

Guys, I have been reading all over the place, and I still can't find a definitive post that says "do this workout to maximize fat loss." I don't know if I should do one body part a day, or a 2 day or 3 day split. So much info to sift through...It's overwhelming!!!
Thanks for all the replies too.
