looking for motivation on leg day...

I'm hitting legs tonight and was hoping to get some motivation from this thread.

What's your routine for legs with how much weight?

Here's an average one for me:
    Quads...
Leg Exts: 2 lite warmup sets
    Squats: 3 sets @ 225 for 20, 315 for 10, 335 for 8
    Leg Press: 3 sets @ 10 plates, 12 plates, 14 plates
    Leg Exts: 3 sets @ 185, 200, 215 on the pin
    Hammies...
Leg Curls: 4 sets @ 140, 150, 160 or so on the pin
    Strgt Leg Ddlfts 3 sets @ 185, 205, 225
    Calves...
    Standing calf raises: 4 sets @ 275, 300, 325, 350 on the pin
    Seated calf raises: 3 sets @ 3 plates, 3 1/4 plates, 4 plates

Then I limp home with a shake. I'm going to try and top all those poundages tonight. Give me some motivation and post your routine!

Here's the motivation I use...whether or not its urban legend or not i'm not sure, but I completely convince myself of the fact that every muscle in your upper body is prevented from reaching its potential until your legs reach their potential. I may hate leg presses most of the time, but "knowing" it'll help me improve my chest in some indirect manner is all i need.

I don't get why so many people hate training legs. Myself I love it. I train them trice a week. Mondays and Fridays. I guess the only motivating I can give you is this. Theres nothing worse than a guy with a built upper body with chicken legs. Hopes this helps.

Ditto Jensen....I FKN LOVE LEG DAY!!!!!! Ever since I got into the world of bodybuilding and weightlifting.....I always snicker inside when I see some huge guy with little legs!! That is all the motivation I need, not giving anyone a chance to snicker at my legs!!

your routine sounds a little weird but everybody has their own technique, why not go your heaviest from the start. I think if anything, you can back down on weight but you might as well go as heavy as you can take it for the first two sets of the particular exercise you are doing, just my opinion. Hell, getting to the gym on leg day is more than most gym goers are doing, so at least keep that up bro! Just helping, not criticizing.
