testosterone levels

I been taking Androgel 1% 5g once a day prescribed by a Endocrinologist for hypogonadism.
I don't notice any benefit to what i thought i could expect.I don't feel any
stronger, no body fat loss, still feel tired, ... Been taking this for like 3yrs. My
blood level for total testosterone is on average of 500 ng/gl and the free is
on average of 130-150 pg/ml . I'm 47yr old male 5'9 193lbs in decent shape.
My question is, are these test levels good? and how do they compare to a
Bodybuilders. I do train but don't seem to get any benefit from the Androgel,
even though that's not the reason i have to take it. I figure if I'm going to be
on it i want the most out of it as possible. My DR. says too much is no good,
raises red cells, cholesterol, and can cause kidney probs and some other things.
Any how i would really like to make some gains and improvements .

Need SOME DIRECTION HOW TO GET THERE

HRT is what you are on ? I noticed that the gel did nothing for me .... i started using injected Test Cyp 1.5ml / week at 20mg/1ml . it made a huge impact and it feels like im 18 again. i had my levels checked 2 years ago and it was very low ( 400) and now it maintains (1300-1400) and my workout is faster harder and building. i also was able drop 40 lbs of fat that i had put on since football days. Talk to your doctor about the shot... I would recommend that you see ( anti-aging ) doctor , they are good at that.

androgel is voor hrt purpose. In your case your endocrinologist subscribed you some to raise your test levels a little for your age to a normal and acceptable level. Since test levels drop when you get older. Your test levels won't get anywhere near the levels of people who use injectable or oral steroid for bodybuilding purpose. So don't expect anything of it.

Not a fast typer so bare with me ! Who does your shot ? and where and how do i find a anti age DR. Oh and yes its HRT that i take

ARE they more dangerous to take ? and how would i get the doc ot do some
thing different like that!

Your free levels look pretty damn good... Id try injectable... Ive had test levels from 290 to 2500 energy doesnt vary too much but sex drive does

2500 Looking at my paper work in front of me,i keep copies of all my medical
results. the highest range thats shown for total is 1080. thats over double?
too much total i thought is useless.

you can also just ask the doctor that gave you the Gel .... Let them know its not working and you would like to try injection. They will provide a script and then the rest is you. Anti-aging docs are everywhere, yellow pages or ask your doctor.

ive been on androgel since i was 18, although our situations are much different i noticed a big increase when i started. as towel said, at your age it was prescribed in order to bring your levels back up tp average. my body produces zero test.

So you think finding a anti aging DR.is best op?.I know the endo won't do any
thing except keep the level where it belongs. He's too old school.
