Hey guys, new to the site and am looking at doing my first cycle…
My stats are 6ft 4in, 240lbs, bf 19%, 26 years old.. I play rugby on Saturdays and lift during the week – have been an on and off lifter for a few years.
Current diet is
Meal 1 – special K and protein shake
Meal 2 – protein shake
Meal 3 – chicken with potatoe and veggies or salmon and cray fish salad
Meal 4 – 2 brown pitta breads, 2 tins of tuna and lettuce
Meal 5 – meat, veggies and potato or chicken stir fry or large grilled chicken kebabs and salad.
Current Workout is
Tuesday
Squatts
Deadlifts
Seated Row
Thursday
Flat Bench
Incline Bench
Military Press
Dips
Wide Chins
Close Chins
But I am going to change this to
Mon – Shoulders
Tues – Squatts & Deads
Thurs – Chest and Tris
Fri – Back and Biceps
I have a few mates doing cycles and they have recommended for the first one to do Suss and Deca which I am researching at the moment and will post in a week or so when I have gained enough knowledge on the cycles etc…. same with PCT..
The questions I have are that I do not believe that I am at my natural peak yet at all and if I do an 8 – 10 week cycle and go balls to the wall with everything such as diet, training, knocking weekend drinking on the head etc…. will I be able to keep the gains seeing as I am not going above my bodies peak but am just getting there quicker with the juice – my friends reckoned If for example I put on 20kg’s on the cycle I would be able to keep 10 – 12kg’s of it?
Now then I have been reading through the forum and understand that everyone on here is very knowledgeable and for most of you guys the cycling etc… is a lifestyle choice etc.. and it is something you are very dedicated to – I however am not as dedicated as a lot of you guys and to be honest am looking at doing one cycle to kickstart my progress and rather than just take my mates advice and just start injecting I wanted to find out a lot more about it and see if in the opinion of people who are obviously very knowledgeable on the subject am I correct in mine and my friends assumptions????
So basically now I have the waffle out of the way and you know where I am coming from my main questions are:
- Am I realistically going to see noticeable gains on my first cycle
- Am I going to be able to keep a decent amount of these gains seeing as I am not at my natural peak yet?
- Thirdly and this questions is really here nor there it is just something a few of the boys said – on their cycles they stripped some body fat as well as packing on the muscle and eating a clean but calorie surplus diet (this isn’t really something that bothers ne as I’m fine doing a cut after just wondered what peoples opinions were!?
Thanks for any help/advice – and once again I will apologise if it seems like I am cheapening something that it seems a lot of you are dedicating a lot of time to in the search of some quick gains – and in a way I am but rather than go into this blind just because my mates have I wanted to at least gain some knowledge and see if what I was looking to achieve is actually anywhere near the mark???
