Test + 5-alpha Reductace Inhibitor, Hair Loss Equation
Ok, let's say your natural test is 100mg per week (i don't buy 200mg, maybe if you're 16 with high test levels).
And for arguments sake let's say your conversion for test to DHT is 20%.
So for 100mg of T you'll produce 20mg of DHT - where your hair is today.
Now if you take 5mg finasteride (which decreases scalp DHT by 41%) with 200mg of test you're DHT will be
40 X 0.59 = 23.6 - only a slight increase in hair loss.
If you take 0.5mg of dutasteride (which decreases scalp DHT by 41%) with 200mg of test, you're DHT will be
40 X 0.49 = 19.6 - so no hair loss.
Now if you take 2.5mg of duatasteride (which decreases scalp DHT by 79%) with 500mg of test you're DHT will be 100 x 0.21 = 21 - so basically no hair loss.
What do you think ?

Sorry but what are these numbers? Could you clarify? (Maybe one of those is 51%, the other 41%; where does the 40 come from? Do you know how much DHT is active at the scalp?)
Besides, I doubt that your body biochemistry is as simple as a few back-of-the-envelope calculations
EDIT: Gotcha, the 40 is 20% of 200.Last edited by QuadPower; 11-12-2008 at 10:20 AM.

It's all fuzzy math to me.
you only produce like 50-70mg of test per week max
but then you need to account for the ester weight when injecting
test also is an adrogen and takes the place of dht causeing hairloss in the scalp
at the end of the day you can't solve it with numbers, either your hair is on your pillow or it isn't.

Those numbers are from Phase 2 studies of dutasteride for hairloss.
Just type into google : dutasteride finasteride scalp DHT.
See for yourself.
