    infection?

    how long after an injection does it take to develop an infection/abscess?

    It depends, it will start to swell and go red and then when the abcess starts it should feel squishy when you touch it. when you press on the center of the swelled area it will leave an indent in the skin for maybe a few seconds. Why are you asking m8?

    I'm asking because I did a shot Saturday and have a pretty sore lump from it in my delt.

    I thought maybe I didn't inject deep enough but I've been feeling kinda run down and fatigued the past two days, like I'm coming down with something.

    Just keep an eye on it m8. I shouldnt think its anything to worry about but if it does get worse then do the obvious thing and get it seen to.

    I have had one on my shoulder it was very sore and i ran a fever also.

    basically if u dont start to run a fever in the next day or two, or it starts getting red and hot, then ur fine. Could be that the oil just hasnt disbursed all the way, try rubbing it in the shower. But if its not better and just gets worse tomorrow and the next, then go see ur doc.

    p.s. If it hasnt gotten red or hot by now, then thats a good sign that u will be okay

    yeh if it gets worse go see your doctor. It takes awhile to heal.

    Rub it in. I had this before went away after I rubbed it for a bit.
