    the Ole' Glute pain thread

Okay, I injected Test E in my right glute with a 23g 1.5 in. needle Wed night.(first shot of cycle.)
The first day (Thu) I was pretty sore, which I'm assuming is normal. I had to take over 1000mgs of ibuprophen throughout the day just to walk, go to the gym, sleep, etc. Today I woke up and the soreness is still there if not worse. I already took 600mgs with breakfast and I can walk but with some considerable discomfort.
Keep in mind it's been over a year since my last injection, which was my first cycle. I had pain for about a day with those injections and then it went away.

As of now I have no abcess at the injection site, I have no fever, and there is no redness(hopefully there never will be.) It's just the amount of pain that does't seem normal.

Has anyone had this with Test E before and it turned out to be nothing?

Try warming up the gear before injecting and rub the inj site afterwards to work the oil into the muscle. If you're already doing that the ba% could be too high. I had the same prob with some enanth I was using. I had knots though. Good luck.

Yeah, Ive been a Pantera freak since I was a kid. Got "Hostile" tattooed across my stomach. Actually had the chance to play shows with Superjoint Ritual twice. Phil was an asshole though. Kind of a letdown to meet your idol and have him be a cockstar.

so far i've never had any soreness in the glute.

hope you're not injecting your sciatic nerve or some other bad place...

Nope. Upper, outside of the glute. I also aspirate every time so if I went into the nerve I'd get blood. I've always had air bubbles instead.

Also using 1.5 inch almost to the tip so I know I'm hitting the muscle. Plus, when I message the area, I can feel that it is the muscle causing the pain.

I have heard of people filtering their gear with some success in these cases. Is it Vet gear?

UGL didn't specify. Guess I'll just wait to see what happens.

If things cool down, I'm going to warm up the gear for 10 min. or so and take a long hot shower before hand. Two things I didn't do for the 1st shot. (Yes, I did clean the inj. site thouroughly with soap and alcohol.)

    That's IF things cool down.

I'd be REAL worried if I got blood from a nerve.
