    injection?

how often do you guys get the knots post injection?...like they are not an abcess or infection...just like a knot that goes away in a day or 2 and not painfull.. what is causing it?...not deep enough injection?..doesnt happen every time just now and then...

I find I get them less the deeper I go. I beleive they are a sterile abcess.

I almost always get some kind of a knot post injection. Most go away in 2-3 days. But some bodyparts take alittle longer, like pecs for me. I also get some localized redness from time to time, more in certain bodyparts then others.

I just about never get them. If you inject very slowly to give the oil time to absorb, and aren't shooting too much volume at once, there shouldn't be many issues.

    You do what???

    I hope it's sterile water.

Before you inject, nothing...NOTHING should touch the pin.

The only thing that should touch the barrel or plunger are hands that have been washed thoroughly and that have been sanitized.

    Period!!!!

If you want to warm up the barrel, place it in a warm environment while it is still in it's sterile packaging.

technically correct although prob overly cautious if just barrel under h20 and pin changed prior to inject ....seriously doubt any danger at all of infection ....no more so that with any airborne bacteria- they arent gonna migrate from barrel to pin and enter your system BUT just warm gear in vial prior to entire injection process.

as long as you use a steril needle . you will be fine running water on the barrel. have done 70 or so injections this way with no problems.

Well, since the number of people taking AAS under a Dr.s supervision for the purposes of
body building is a number indistinguishable from zero, I would say extreme caution
    should rule the day.

Running the barrel under water to warm it up is against the protocols for establishing
    a sterile field.

I am very comfortable giving that advice.

Risk mitigation should be a very high priority.

Why do that when there are safer methods?

^^^ oh the sterile field that mere seconds after wiping area to be injected with alcohol is already recontaminated?? That sterile field? Anyway like i said above u r technically correct ....the likelihood of a prob.from the practice is prob as minimal as risk when normal sterile injection protocol is followed provided pin is changed etc....HOWEVER just heat vial in h20 first and follow sterile inj procedure.

    Jimmyinkedup,

I am not trying to start an argument with you.

    We are both technically right.

While the risk of contamination is small, it's not accepted practice in a clinical setting nor a field setting.

I am just trying to establish ground rules for the general advice that should be given.

If we start getting slack in our advice, where does it stop?

I also run the barrel under warm water with the cap on the needle. Ive shot hundreds of times with no problem. This is a common procedure.

Have been shooting 1ml tren and .5ml test ed for 4 weeks or so. All in the glute I am getting some scar tissue there so I tried the shoulders, (first time) it went so well I did 2 injections in each shoulder. the second injection in 2 days was too much oil I think, it still hurts pretty good, back to the glutes.

    EXACLTY!

And ive even tried shooting too fast, not warming up the oil so it disperses easier, and ive had knots before that take a couple days to go away from doing this.
