UGL Test Prop Cloudy!!!

One of the 10mL vials of Test Prop looks a bit cloudy when compared to another one. I'll try and post some pics tomorrow when there is daylight. Is it safe to use or no?

your always taking a chance with UGL. and alot of time there are going to be inconsistentcies. nobody can tell you if it is good or not. i would filter it at least.

Just sit it in some hot water for 5-10mins right before boiling.

If the cloudyness doesnt go away after putting it in hot water,thats because the powder used to make the prop was contaminated.

Okay. I read in another thread that said to stick a needle in it to release some of the pressure, is that correct?

The pressure may or may not crack your vial if you don't. Either way, it's a good idea to use it to be safe.

If your vial i already capped and crimped, there is no need to use a vent pin....Boiling the vial, will not bring it up to a hot enought temp to blow that top off, and if your vials are pyrex, which most are, then boiling it will not crack the vial either...just set paper towel or two at the bottom of the pot, and boil the vial ontop of that....

Its been almost a week and you still havent put it in hot water have you.

It should of took you 10minutes.

Even if you put it in hot water for few minutes, wait till it clears and leave it overnight.

If it still goes cloudy, its because the powder is stuffed.

How high should the vial be submerged in the water? I don't want to mess it up.

just put some paper towels in the botton of the pot, fill with water and put your vial about 3/4 of the way up to the top.....then boil for how ever long you want to boil it....then let it cool,
