best way to open ampule ?

Hey Guys I am a newbie and I am wondering the best way to open my first ampule never used these before and am afraid of a shard of glass getting sucked up into the syringe. Is this possible? Want to start my cycle in the AM

nah mate they sell a special tool for it, research it in google you find it.

or you can use a knife and scratch a ring around it then break it if, just find the tool much eaiser imo.

I use the cap of a marker and a cloth and just bend. The pressure will snap it right on the line.

You do have alcohol pads right? If not, go get some. They are used to swab the skin before an injection. Just use an unopened alcohol pad around the top and break it to the side. As an RN this is how I was taught in school and have been doing it for years. I guess it is the "official" way.

Get a nail file, score the neck and snap it off, simple.

Get an ampule opener. I've broken more then one amp in my hand while opening. Those little shards of glass are a pain in the ass to pick out of your thumb.

I put a couple of kleenex over the top and a quick snap (using your thumb). They snap right off if they've been scored already.

Empty ink pen tube works good too.Slide it on top and pop there ya go.
