What is Test level of a Teenager ?

We all know teenagers suffer from the side-effects of an elevated testosterone level (acne; first signs of hair loss; oily skin etc).

What would be the equivalent dose of test. cyp or ethan. per week would they be on ?

I think it's an interesting question, my guess would be around 150 a week but would love to hear someone chime in with a more scientific answer.

So if people produce 70-90/95mgs a week, a teenager's would be well into the 100s?

So 150mg of Test E would yield 70% Test or 105mg a week which would be in the ballbark of the average teen I am guessing.

To Jfew -- that's ok, just wear your seatbelt

fireguy -- yea that would be correct

but why? a teenager shouldn't be doing TRT or cruising at that age....

I think fireguy was getting at the amount of test one would have to take to have the test level a teenager has. Correct?

Correct, that was the OP question before this thread detoured to drivers safety.

"The average healthy man secretes about 260 to 1,000 nanograms of testosterone per deciliter of blood plasma. Women
produce about 15 to 70. In teenage boys, the level could be as high as 2000
    nanograms
, which explains their sexual drive and how they behave. After the age of 30, the production of testosterone gradually tapers."

    http://www.feu-nrmf.ph/drchua/pdf/S/SexHormone.pdf

If anyone can translate the nanograms per deciliter of blood into mg produced you could get your answer.

Here's a nanogram to milligram calculator:
    http://www.unitconversion.org/weight...onversion.html

    So.. 2000 nanograms = 0.02mg

The average Human blood plasma volume is about 3 liters. 3 liters = 30 deciliters (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood)

    0.02 x 30 = .6mg

Soo..... Assuming the secretion happens in a steady flow over the course of a day. To produce 90mg of test per week your body would be producing about 12.8mg of test per day.

    .6(mg) x 24 (hours) = 14.4

Assuming (again) the teen in question is secreting 2000 nanograms of test per deciliter of plasma, AND the teen has 3 liters of plasma AND he is producing a total of 90mg of test per week, it might be safe to say that the body probably produces a little less than that particular figure (.6mg per 3liters of plasma) per hour. Keeping in mind that the variables well.. vary, from person to person.

This is just my own personal reasoning based on what I've read. I hope reading this reply wasn't a waste of your time.

In teens, test can go anywhere north of 700ng/dl well into the 1000's

in studies, the generally accepted max production of test from gonads in a male (age notwithstanding) is at 12mg/day (min being 2mg)

so a dose of 100 - 125 mg would make a replacement does for a teen i should say

By some odd coincidence you got a reasonable answer here. Your method however is very wrong. The quote "The average healthy man secretes about 260 to 1,000 nanograms of testosterone per deciliter of blood plasma. Women
produce about 15 to 70" is not a statement which quantifies production over time, it is a statement of the steady state level in the blood. You cannot use one to deduce the other unless you know the half life of testosterone being produced, which is itself dependent on the relative saturation of the binding protiens.

The reality is that 50mg of enanthate will get you just into the lower limit of normal if you have ceased your natural production. If your natural production was not affected at all the benefit of 50mg a week would still be very small, getting your from about 250 nanograms per deciliter to 300.

I am a guy who easily adds muscle and strength and my own level is around 400 ng/dl.

To get to 1300, roughly the upper limit of normal on the lab tests (which is completely arbitrary and has little meaning)...you would need about 300 mg per week, assuming natural shutdown.

Just for the record, these numbers come from published studies where volunteers were injected with various amounts and their levels were measured weekly over months. Trust them.
