    Winstrol questions

I read over and over on here that "Winstrol doesn't burn fat" but my question is this, if you do have a little extra belly fat, and your diet is in check and you are doing a good amount of cardio, will the use of Winstrol speed up the weight/fat/water loss process or is it purely a catabolic inhibitor?

It may help you cut water but not abdominal fat.

Winstrol does not burn fat... BUT imo along with the protein synthesis and (hardening) effect you experience on it. It gives me that extra mental edge to were i think it is burning fat when in reality i am just doing more cardio more strenuously and sticking EXACTLY to my diet.

It is interesting to me that I read throughout these boards that winnie, anavar, heck even test will not burn fat, but when you look at medical studies and some of their profile info it directly points at the ability for these to do just that. Maybe I am missing something?? Here is the profile for var and it explicitly speaks to the fat reduction benefits:

I have used winnie with test and had decent gains and lost body fat...

no steroid will help butn fat directly, but almost all anabolic steroids do make it easier to lose fat and harder to gain it.

peachfuzz, i am not trying to disagree with you (as you most likely know a whole lot more than me), but how do you explain the results in this link:

    http://forums.steroid.com/showthread.php?t=199816

Note that these test subjects did not change diet or exercise. What do you attribute their results from?

I am very curious of other's opinions/knowledge as well because, to me, this contradicts what you are saying...

Now here’s some interesting stuff for anyone interested primarily in the fat burning properties of this stuff: Anavar may be what we’d call a “fat-burning steroid”. Abdominal and visceral fat were both reduced in one study when subjects in the low/normal natural testosterone range used anavar (4). In another study, appendicular, total, and trunk fat were all reduced with a relatively small dose of 20mgs/day (8), and no excercise. In addition, weight gained with ‘var may be nearly permanent too. It might not be much, but you’ll stand a good chance of keeping most of it. In one study, subjects maintained their weight (re)gains from anavar for at least 6 months after cessation (2)! Concomitantly, in another study, Twelve weeks after discontinuing oxandrolone, 83% of the reductions in total, trunk, and extremity fat were also sustained (8)! If you’re regaining weight, Anavar will give you nearly permanent gains, and if you are trying to lose fat (and you keep your diet in check), the fat lost with Anavar is basically looks to be nearly permanent. Check this chart out:

Keep in mind this is all without any Post-Cycle-Therapy, and without any change in diet or training!

I agree steroids help you burn fat...not directly is what i stated.

    some examples of how are...
    -increased BMR
    -lower cortisol levels
    -increase in LBM

also there is an effect on other hormones such as epinephrine and dopamine.

there are alot of other actions i dont care to get into as well as alot of theories but again these are indirect.

It will definitely 'harden up' your physique.

Unless you are under 10% BF I dont think you would see any benefits from Winstrol.

Because you no matter how hard or dry you may get you wont see it if it's covered by a layer of fat.

very low dose (part of TRT) - 200mg of test / week and 25 mg of winnie / day for 10 weeks. I gained about 8 lbs and went from about 14% body fat to about 11%.

I did light cardio (3 times a week for 30 mins or so), but lifted like a mad man (never really been a cardio guy.

If I was was looking to cut bodyfat (which I am now), I would look at Anavar. It has been proven to burn fat. I agree with other posts that winnie is more of a hardner. As always though, diet and training are key...

Any steroid will help you burn fat but, it is ultimately up to your caloric intake, the type of calories and your training that will determine whether or not you lose bodyfat.
