and deca is a bad choice for a fball player because of the detectetion time... it will help if you find out ur bf%, like big said higer bf means more complications...
anyways if you are dead set on doin a cycle, you should do a simple test cycle, i recommend prop because of the detection time is short (2-3 weeks and 1 shot everyday) and its easier to manage than test susp (which needs to be shot 2x daily but detection time of like 1 week)
your diet will be the main factor if you "shed a good amount of fat" you should look in to clen and a clean diet to lose the fat
