Hey All,
I wanted to write you all and see if their is anything I can add to my workout whether it be pre-workout post-workout or adding gear into the mix. Let me start with giving you a little background. I'm 27 years old, former D1 College Football Player, 297lbs. and right at 6ft 3 inches tall. Current working a desk job and lifting at night.
My work out:
**20-30 minutes Cardio (Treadmill averaging right around 6mph running)
**Isolation training muscles one at a time at 3 sets of 12 reps each
Not interested in building my legs so my workout consist of working out chest, arms, back and neck through out the week.
**My workout excluding the cardio is right around 45-55 minutes but I try to keep a good hard workout going the entire time so I don't loose the pump and so on from my run.
**I work out 5-6 times a week.
My Diet:
I am eating a lot of Chicken fried in Olive Oil. I know this isn't the best way of preping it but I am open to suggestions. To be honest some super strict diet might to far from reality for me so just keep that in mind. I do drink a soda(my version of coffee) for breakfast and a bagel but my lunch is lean and my dinner is non-existent or very small noodle/chicken mix.
My Goals:
Trying to cut about 30-35 pounds over the next 3-4 months. I have a lto of fat left on me but I'm not a blob or even have a guy. My weight is pretty evenly distributed. I want to get healthy but get some definition to my muscle but not go nutz. I am willing to add to gear but I am not sure what would be a choice for me.
In the end I am really looking for some direction. I made the big step and got into the gym 5-6 nights a week for 1.5-2 hours a day. Now I need help maximizing my efforts. I could use workout, diet and gear direction. Someone help me make the most out of my push to get healthy and fit! Thanks all.
