    Unhappy Scary Doctor News...

So i went in today to get my so called gyno looked and and first off he swore to me that it was not gyno and that nolvadex and letro and anything like that would not help. (expected answer). What i didn't expect is what he said next. I hinted that i might take it anyway and he shot back the answer that if you take either, you will most like develop cancer in my later years. WTF.

Nolva is treated to use breast cancer in women, so how would it cause cancer later on?

i think i seen someone about 2 months who posted some article that talked about nolva having carcingenic properties. and just cuase they may use a certain treatment to get rid of CURRENT cancer, doesnt mean it cant cause cancer in the long term cause the most important thing is to get rid of the CURRENT cancer, and deal with repurcussions later. for example, when u get cancer, u go thru chemo and radiation and if you survive, you have to go for monthly cat scans and MRI, yet cat scans and MRI actually increase your cancer risk and your doctor should tell you this (as they did with my mom) but its something that needs to be done at the present time to save your life.

Carcinogenic properties is not the same as "you will mostly likely develop cancer". For example, the pesticides used on your food have been shown to have carcinogenic properties, certain medications can increase the risk for cancer, certain chemicals used in foods have been linked to have caringenic properties.

In the 1920's, Dr. Otto Warburg, a German M.D. established the nature of the cancer cell. He found that it was a cell whose oxygen intake had been reduced by more than 35%. To survive, these cells turn into fermenting cells. That is the nature of the cancer cell. It ferments glucose, abhors oxygen and divides out of control.

These cancer cells exist in our bodies every day. Our immune system destroys them. That's part of its normal function. When, because of lifestyle choices (think food), emotional traumas or excess toxins (from root canal-filled teeth, for example) the number of these fermenting cancer cells grows beyond the capability of our immune system to handle them, we "get" cancer.

Basically we all have cancer cells in our body our immune system destroys them, when however the ability of cancer cells to rapidly divide exceeds that of our immune system we develop cancer.

So the way your doctor said it is wrong, it is possible that there are medical reports where Nolva or Clomid has in rare instances been possibly linked to the acceleration of cancer cell growth or indirectly aided in someway, but its highly unlikely that either one is a known major carcinogenic like Asbestos for example.

There have been carcinogenesis studies HOWEVER the studies have been in mice at a dose of 0.6-60 mg/kg/day. Damn, anyone/thing getting this dose will develop cancer.

You always have the right to a second opinion or another doctor totally.

If it's not protocol doctors will scare you out of it. They say no b5 for acne (causes cancer) but give you accutane instead. They give out depression pills instead of test because testosterone causes cancer. You get gyno and no letro/nolva (causes cancer) but they recommend expensive surgery. I hate doctors.

With how harsh letrozole is on the lipid profile, I wouldn't be surprised if long term use would cause it.

Tamoxifen , probably not. The mechanism of action for a normal healthy male is not harsh on the body, however, none of us know what goes on at the cellular level.

    I wouldn't discount the possibility.
