first injection and now in hospital

Well I finaly started my first ever cycle had my first injection about 3 days ago , this is now my second full day in hospital. I got a bad infection in my right side quad and am realy pissed. Now I'm not sure if it's the gear or me and if my injection protocal was good enough I'm sure I followed a thorough proceedure

I injected 1ml of test e 250 mg/ml using a25 g needle

sounds like your gear might be suspect, obviously you used a new syringe and needle, and swabed the area....???

I followed the proceedure in the newbies section ( kale's post) I definetly aspirated when I did small bubbles pulled back into the syringe and then went back when the plunger was pushed back down

the gear is in 10 ml vials, I even changed needles from drawing to injecting. I'm really hoping it's not the gear, I've got 4 10 ml vials and I'm just not sure of what to do, the only way to know if it's the gear or not is to take another shot and I'm not going through this again

IMHO get a needle filter and filter it. You should be fine then. You might simply of had some bad luck bro. I am very sorry to hear you got an infection from it also. I hate to see anyone of the people here have trouble with something like this because getting help for it is so hard due to obvious reasons.

That sucks dude. After the hundred's of needles i've used i have never had the slightest problem. It's up to you to make the decision on your future steroid use.
On a positive note you live in Australia and you won't be another bad statistic from steroid use here in America!

Its got to be dirty gear, I never swab or wipe the top of the vial and I have injected hundreds of times and never even looked like getting an infection like that. It is possible but unlikely unless you are a total pig :-)

I know we're not supposed to say where we got gear, but this is a safety risk, if the gear is bad then the community should know about it.

yeah they say swabbing top as well as swabbing skin pre inj with alcohol is essentially a useless procedure for the most part. I still do both ....

My wife is a rn and she said it is mandatory to swap the top of the vials. It is open to all coughs,sneezes,and every other germ

Im sloppy, sometimes I swab sometimes I don't. I never aspirate, I just put it in and go. I've not cleaned the site even many times as long as I am not dirty.

How many times did you fall down in the dirt as a kid with bloody knees? I know its different, but I would suspect your gear too.

I got an infection last cycle for the first time. It was in my left tricep. I also shot 250mg of test e. I went through two bottles of the stuff and only got that one infection. I went to the ER and they prescribed me an antibiotic and after a couple days it was gone. My whole left arm was red and swollen down to the wrist.

Hey guys I just sent someone a pm here in oz there's no ugl's the gear has come over from china in bulk and then re packaged into 10 ml vials, however the vials have the caps that you break the steel cover over the rubber stop as a sighn they've never been used I mean it's pretty professional.

swabbing insures cleanliness - not sterility ....studies show no increase in infection frequency with or without swabbing the skin - incidents of infection occur at a rate of 4.5 people in every 10,000 injections (when proper inj procedure followed). Like i said i still do it -but it porob isnt necessary...

Im curious too, you got an infection THAT bad in just a couple days? Are you sure (sorry if Im presuming wrong) you didnt hit a vein in your leg and its just big and painful? I've done that once and your thiegh is a bad spot for it.

I keep a bottle of Cypro on hand just in case. lol never needed it yet tho.

I have never heard of someone getting a serious infection within 24 hours of injection something is off with this. I have never had any issues with many different ugl gears.

LOL that doesn't mean anything really, when we say its the gear we mean the actual gear, it could have impurities especially if the gear is "made" in China instead of the raws coming in from China.

So your body probably reacted to the high metals or impurities in it.

yep, infact im sitting up in my hospital bed right now typing this whole thread on my I phone, I had my shot 8.30pm thur night cause I planned to shoot Mon's and thur's by 10.00pm fri night I was in hospital cause I could barely walk from pain I should be going home today in about 2 hours in oz it's Mon I told the doc that someone left a sewing needle on a bench at work and I leant on it didn't know what else to say

Yep, been to the hospital with an infection also, but it was like 4 days after the injection. I got an infection twice. One right after the other one. I had antibiotics for the first one. Threw away that batch and tried more prop from another batch. Got infected again. I had a few antibiotics left and tried to fight it off. The infection won this time. I think it is something with the prop ester itself that I may be allergic to. I don't fuk with prop anymore.

Hi guys home now, spoke to the source last night, said he's had no other problems, i mean i still want to do the cycle any further info on filtering the gear or heating it, how hot can i get it without stuffing up gear.

You say you followed directions inthe newbie section but where EXACTLY did you stick the pin in your quad. Why do you newbies always shoot your quad? I have done my quad 3 times out of 4 or 5 HUNDRED injections in my glutes and never had an issue. One of the 3 quad shots gave me a swollen leg, a fever and a limp for 2 weeks. Shoot your glutes if your new. Less risk.

That's why you lean on the opposite leg of the glute you're injecting into, and utilize a mirror. not that complicated.

Exactly.

I highly doubt this was an infection. I'd say it's highly more likely virgin muscle pain or an allergic reaction. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think an infection happens that fast.

First cycle + quad injection = bad pain and swelling

EO, high BA content, etc can all cause pain and swelling.. and first time injections can alone cause this as well.

My first few injections felt like a donkey kicked me in the ass. Pain and swelling lasted for a few days. It's normal.

It may feel like it's the anitbiotics working, but I have a feeling it's because it's been a few days since the injection.
