Hair loss prevention

Prevention is better then cure. Hair loss is in my family im a shoe in for it. I hear once its happened then u baiscily can only do a hair transplant. But i want to get in early and see if anyone on the forum has some good advice for things that may have helped slow it down for them. There is a lot of advertising for this sorta thing and id much rather get some more personal advice. thank you for any input

btw i tried searching it and it was mostly about what to do once it has already happened.
