Friendly reminder - aspirate!!

I haven't posted in a while, but thought I'd share something. To those getting lazy because they have NEVER gotten blood when aspirating and don't see the use in it, listen. I too HAD never gotten blood before tonight. I'm not by any means an aas veteran, but I've done 4 cycles (1 with winny and 2 with prop), so I've done my share of sticks.

Anyway, like I said, I've NEVER gotten blood before and was starting not to see the use in aspirating. Tonight it took me 'til the 4th stick to not get blood and in the glute to boot.

So, to all who don't see the use - "Better safe than sorry."

Maybe so. Never have injected without aspirating. So, I don't know the effects personally. I have heard some bad stories though. Like I said, I play it better safe than sorry. People can do what they choose. I was just sharing tonight's experience since it was a first for me.

You know its true everyone always says to do it but yet i've never heard a bad story about someone not doing it.

How do you do it if you're hitting the glute? I've never done it, stuck it in a few times and can tell it feels a little too weird, pulled it out and had blood squirt a couple of feet, so now I make sure there are no rugs or anything in the area just in case. But really, I don't see how it's possible to do it yourself in the glute, and like jbigguns said, docs just stab and shoot, I get more welts from those a-holes than I've ever given myself.

unless you want an oil embolism in your lungs, heart or brain....you should aspirate

when blood squirts out that means you lanced a vein, not that you were about to inject into one.
