remind your doctor that benzos should not be prescribed on a daily basis as they are physically and potentially psychologically addictive. you may also want to consider that benzodiazepines taken before bed will royally f up your REM sleep which is not healthy.

^^^^ agreed.. xanax is a anti anxiety med... double check with your pharm to see if it's an mao inhibitor (aka maoi), if it isn't you should be fine

^^^^^^^^ YAH WHAT HE SAID !!! COULDN'T AGREE MORE... PLUS ... IF YOU ARE BEING PRESCRIBED THINGS LIKE THAT THEN YOU MIGHT WANNA CONSIDER NOT USING AAS FOR THE SIMPLE REASON IF YOU ARE UNHEALTHY ENOUGH TO PRESCRIBED PSYCHOACTIVE MEDICATION THEN YOU DONT NEED TO GO MESSING WITH YOUR HORMONES MAN UNTIL YOU GET YOUR MIND RIGHT FOR REAL DUDE... NO JOKE... GET YOUR HEAD FIGURE OUT DEFINITELY BEFORE YOU DO ANY SORT OF CYCLE.

well i usually take it during the day for anxiety. i was in iraq... came back all fckud up. he told me i usually only take a .5 which is half of what he told me. but when i get on the juice my anxiety goes up the roof. i dont have to take it at night. i just wanna make sure it gots no interactions. when i dont take it i get nasty anxiety attacks. i talked to my doc about dependency, but he says the amount im taking won't give me any withdrawals whenever im ready to get off. he says thats in the 3mg and up range i take a .50 (half a mg)

Oh then by all means Soldier we are here to help sir. Ummm yah it is definitely fine... I used to run low dose diazepam when it was prescribed to me when I did a test/ren cycle to keep my anxiety down but i have now learned to deal with my anxiety and had my doc take me off of it. But until then man definitely stick to the meds they give you and no no sir not at all no adverse reactions at all. Welcome to the board by the way Sir. Any questions don't hesitate to ask. I am here for ya. Oh and.... Thank you Very much.

Yeah I take xanax a bit too and valium (in low doses for the valium), and there are not intereactions that I know of or have experienced, but as has been state Xanax is VERY addictive and you will build up a tolerance from hell if you are anything like me. Do NOT stop taking them cold turkey.

Very sorry to hear about your anxiety from Iraq.... anxiety sucks, and thanks for supporting our country...

Dito, thank you for defending my freedom. I take an sri, Zoloft, it has some advantages over tranquilizers, I'm a recovering drunk so I steer clear of any kind of dope. I think it makes me a little apathetic about work and stuff but I don't have much anxiety any more.

You should get on something with a longer half life, xanax will just give you a quick relief then in 8-12 hours your ****ed in withdrawals and taking more and more and building up a quick tolerance, they are made that way to get people addicted like junkies... Valium is the way to go if your in it for the long term which it sounds like... they stay with you for about 2.5 days and produce the same calming effects. You'll probably switch over when you hit a fun withdrawal...
Trust me I learned the hard way and I am in the benzo's vice grips...

Ask him to take Klonopin, "less" addictive and indicated for long term treatment of cronic anxiety. Xanax is one of the nastiest drugs to come off of

Man your not kidding, I have the hardest time with that. Telling my girlfriend all kind of shit, making promises, plans, etc and never even remembering the conversations take place. There have been times that I took so many legos or footballs that it actually starts having the opposite effect and I get wide awake rather than crashed out.

Yah OZ ask the DOC for Valium (diazepam) it's got the longest half life and the LEAST habit forming... it's my savior on cycle... lol

Wrong, but they are close for half lifes, but it's Valium's active metabolite what keeps you feeling it and from going into withdrawals and is what blows Klonopin away and is often why it is used as a tapering benzo: http://web4health.info/el/answers/bi...o-overview.htm

Im always falling over something when i take them and i dont drink and my girls like are u drinkin again. It been seven years, and i switched addictions, i had no insurance and was waitin for it to kick in for a rotator cuff operation it took months by that time i was addicted to those wonderful pain killers !! Then my pain management Dr. put me on sub*x*ne witch i cant get off !! I WISH I COULD SLEEP FOR A MONTH AND BE BACK TO NORMAL WHATEVER THAT MAY BE!! IMO IF YOUR YOUNG AND IN PAIN DONT TAKE PAINKILLERS CAUSE THEY WILL DO THAT !!! TAKE AWAY THE PAIN AND THEY ARE KILLERS !!

I could have wrote that! Exact same thing with me.
I have bounced back and forth from ambien to restoril to xanax to valium to melatonin (gives me terrible nightmares) for YEARS to try to help me sleep. I'll go a week on one then switch to the other so I don't get dependent on one of them. I have been "diagnosed" with OCD by 3 different doctors. I was put on medicine for it but it made me lose all my aggressiveness. I felt like a zombie with no drive so I stopped taking it.
I started a test e cycle about a month ago and for the first two weeks I slept like a baby without any sleeping meds for the first time in 5+ years! I actually had to dig my alarm clock out of storage because I was sleeping past 6am! Over the last two weeks it has been slowly coming back a little bit and i've had to take meds to sleep 2-3 days per week or so but not every day like before the juice! This is just the opposite of what I expected during my cycle??

i had really violent attacks on tren also. i was not on medication at the time. i now take celexa 40mg daily and have been on for about a year and a half. the meds are mild but they definetely help me keep my sanity. i tend to fly off the handle very quickly without them and get mood swings

Some advice for you from first-hand experience- Don't ever stop taking it suddenly. You need to wean off of it VERY gradually. I was on 20mg for a year and finally decided that it wasn't for me. Like the idiot that I am, I decided to stop taking it all at once and almost ended up in a straight jacket. The withdrawals were worse than pain opiates or benzos.
