    Overtraining on Sust

    Hey Everyone...

47 y/o bodybuilding/powerlifting for over 20+ years albeit a few year layoff these past few years due to a fractured knee. Been back in the gym hard for the past 1.3 years and been doing well. In my 3rd week of sust and everything was incredible...strength and fullness out the max :-). Yesterday, just realized that I was overtraining but here's my question...

I thought recovery time would be much shorter while on the gear...isn't this true? I have some strength goals and really want to hit them. I eat, sleep, etc well and have no other issues.

    Thx

For many, sust has not even kicked in in week 3.
So perhaps you just need to wait a bit for it to truely kick in.

For a buddy of mine it started in week 5, he is now in week 6 and is really feeling it

Muscle recovery time is drastically shortened, but you CNS really doesn't recover quicker on AAS. so it is easy to over-train on AAS

Personally, i would work out with the same intensity as not on cycle. eat more and watch the #'s go up. dont work out harder than usual on juice (assuming you are working out with sufficient intensity).

I heard if you do sus for about 6 weeks, you can beat up 4 guys.

    Kidding aside....

Over training should not be much of an issue, if you are getting the calories you need.

But it's a good way to wear yourself out, and your body will ache.

Try limiting your sets. Put more intensity to no more than 12 sets of good, hard work.

I can really only overtrain if I start doing high volume training with high sets.

Don't do more than 12 reps per set also...Go for 6-8 and you should end your overtraining issues with proper diet and sleep added to the decreased set volume.

Thanks Everyone....I always worked out hard, sweat and tears :-). This being my first cycle, I was excited to blast my old records and fine tune some body parts, e.g. my chest. I'm only starting my 3rd week so if I understand correctly, I still have some serious gains to be looking forward to through my 12 week cycle. I'm going to keep my workout inline with what I was doing before my cycle and try to eat about 500 more cal...that's almost 4000 a day. I'm at 230 now @ 5'10" and people are noticing.

    Good Stuff...thx
