cyclist
I'm looking to build a bit more strength on the Road and as I'm sure there has been many questions and answer within this site, I'll go ahead and ask again for some advice..besides not doing anything at all..
I've heard EPO works well....but isn't that a bit dangerous?

no point messing with epo until you are about to be in a super important race
I ride too
what is your height and weight and age?

i hear the dangers of EPO are way over-hyped. the cyclists that killed themselves with it were supposedly using some pretty insane doses. someone please correct me if im wrong as i dont know all that much about EPO.

I currently don't weight train but have in the past a bunch. I'm 34 and currently ride as a Cat 4. I've been riding about 350 a week.. that is honest miles..

first of all you should be doing
The Leg Press
Calf Raises
Hamstring Curl
Leg Extensions
Squats
you need to be weight training
cat 4 is hardly ready to go pro and at 34 it might never happen for you.
350 is a good week, I very rarely get that many miles in
how did you place in cat 4?

Yeah...You're right about the weight training.. For a long time I was worried about how big I could get not how good of shape I could get in. I got into cycling and have never felt this in shape...ever.
I'm always in the lead group in any Cat 4 race and haven't finished out of the top 15 yet. I think my goals are to become a Cat 2 and see what happens from there. I'd like to become a Pro an will push till reality tries to set in.
I've had the group / Team I ride with tell me they can;t believe how strong I'm getting and fast.. I want to continue that path..

that's great, and you still have some good riding years left
I wouldn't even think about epo yet
focus on putting more strength on your legs without more weight on your body
get in the gym once or twice a week and lift heavy with your legs
after you've spent a couple of months with heavy weight back in your routine
then you might want to think about a steroid cycle so those legs can really put out some power. With endurance sports it doesn't take much to make a huge difference, low dose of test and a low dose of something real androgenic will help you get the most out of the weight you're carrying.
How's the diet?

EPO is the last peice you want to add to the puzzle
when you hit Cat-2 and you're keeping up, EPO will help you get to the front
In addition to weight training are you doing any running
stairs and hills are great to help your endurance
sometimes I do rides, just to drill up and down hills...I'll pick a huge hill and just ride up and down it like 10 times until I need to pass out.
