    Question about vials!

This topic is more about laboratory shit, but I posted here for better traffic. Mods feel free to move it if you wish

To those of you who make their gear or have any knowledge on the subject...

I ran out of sterile glass vials. And won't have any coming in for abit. I do have some sterile plastic vials, with normal saline in them. Would there be ANY HARM taking out the saline and putting my test in there. I would be filtering from a glass vial, into the new plastic vial. I can't see there being a problem, but would like a second opinion.

    Thanks.

I dont know man...I see no problem as long as it is sterile. Why cant you just put everything on hold ? You can get vials overnighted.

shouldn't be a problem is you add some extra BA once you have it in there to kill any bacteria, but i would just wait for the other vials, whats the hurry?

Yeah, I have some on order, they will be in next week. Just need one to tie a bud over who wants to stay on schedule and had problems with his gear.

    Thanks,

How much extra BA would you throw in 10ml? That is the issue with my gear too. When I made it, I feel my vials sat out too long before tranfering my gear to them, hence filtering it over to a sterile vial.

    1)Made at 2/15

2)Used a pressure cooker to sterilize, unsterile vials. Sat out on counter to cool down (5 mins or so) then clamped. After all is done, noted moisture trapped inside. (From now on i'm sticking with sterile vials! This sterile operations is ****ing with my head!).

    3) Yuppers
