Var is damn expensive for what you get imo, just like Primo. In place of those those 2 I (personally) use dbol w/A-dex and Deca. I'm a basic 4 type of guy (Test, Deca, dbol, drol). No need to beyond the basics imho. On occassion I'll throw in some winny to mix things up but that's been my basic stack and I've been able to bulk without blowing up and get ripped using those compounds.

With that said I am deviating off course with this next cycle and throwing in winny, Masteron and Tren just to prove to myself that the basic 4 work just as well. Its more about diet and training than the compounds you use but there is no compound where you get better bang for your buck than dbol and test.
