So, i've done 5 1ml shots so far, but the 10ml seems to be a little more than half gone. I have been loading it with the test all the way up to the 1ml line, and the stopper goes past that. Isn't that right? or does the stopper need to split the 1ml line...

not sure I completely understand your question, but the flat part of the plunger should line up with the 1 ml mark

yes the CLOSEST end to the needle

my syringes have a little tip to the plunger, but the bottom of the tip is where I measure

ok, so on mine the flat side is the back side, furthest away from the needle, and the round side is the side closest to the gear..

most people end up drawing a little more each time. you want the end of the plunger glosest to the needle to be right on the one. dont forget to account for what is still in the needle after drawing.
