    problem when i aspirated

    alright guys,

when i aspirated, the syringe took in what looked like a globule of fat. this was from my thigh. does anyone know why, as this hasn't happened before? lets say i had developed an injection pad-would this be the cause?

    any ideas?

    thanks

    Never heard of this either.
Im pretty sure the needles are too small to suck up fat too

yeah are you sure you weren't just maybe seeing things? Or perhaps didn't have the needle in far enough?

Perhaps your gear seperated (when the actual gear comes out of the oil - not sure the term name) in the syringe?

i wasnt seeing things and the needle was the full way in! im not a beginner. ive just never had this happen to me before. dont think the gear separated as this globule came into the syringe, from my thigh as i aspirated.

i injected most of the gear into a new syringe, and then threw the old syringe away, which had this weird globule of yellowy, milky liquid in, suspended in a little bit of gear. i then used some new needles and drew a bit more bold and test to make up the ml, and injected about an inch down from where i first injected. it was fine. weird

i usually do 2 injections a wk (1 per thigh) but recently ive been doing an extra .5ml test in the opposite thigh, the day after, so think i maybe getting injection pads-you reckon thats the reason for the puss?

i make 100% sure my needles stay sterile and only ever touch my skin/vial, and use alcoholic swabs...so i dont think theres an infection (ie im sure the alcoholic swap would have killed the bacteria on my thigh pre injection)

If you've pinned in that spot before it is most likely an abcess, possibly very small which contains old gear/pus mixture...

Most likely an abcess containing puss

LOL, it's AIR. How can you have a problem aspirating, you'll either draw air or blood, though liposuction with a 23 gauge sounds like million $$$ idea, LOl.

Did you inject into the same spot as you normally do?

    Probably guessing yes.

Most likely previous injection oil that has not fully been absorbed.

People pull up gunk all the time from old oil. No big deal.

How long can it be unabsorbed for? That depends on a lot of factors, so can't really put a time frame on.

How many cc's do you inject with?

    Try rotating injection sites better.

Still keep an eye on it to see it is not an infection. I wouldn't worry or dwell over it because I would bet to say it's just old oil.

Not true mate, if it is a sterile abscess you could be drawing puss/old oil/etc. that is still stuck in it as it hardens into scar tissue.

Agreed. You arent going to pull fat out, especially with a 1 to 1.5" needle (fat is primarily located just under the skin on top of muscle tissue)

right so mate, if it was a sterile abscess and does harden to scar tissue...would this be a problem, except from not being able to use that spot as an injection site?

There is a difference between an abscess and a sterile abscess, an abscess is caused by infection of bacteria. A sterile abscess is caused by the body's reaction to a medicine that is injected into it.

If it is a sterile abscess just try not to inject there and let it heal into scar tissue.

I'd say it's puss. However, puss is a sign of an infection.

I'd still go to a Dr. and get it checked out, you still might need antibiotics.

I agree, i was being pedantic.
Just sounded like the OP was fairly new to jabbing so shouldn't have this problem unless his protocol is off. Maybe i'm just lucky but in 20 years iv;e not experienced anything like this.
