The Risks of Not Taking Steroids

I've had low testosterone for a long time now and am going to act on it - probably with HRT or another testosterone supplement. Anyways, my family is concerned due to all the bad rap they hear on testoserone enhancers. They cite heart problems and prostate cancer and more.
My question is, is low testosterone (50ng/dl) more of a health risk than testosterone normalized by hormone treatment/supplements?
Are the risks of steroids that are commonly cited only if you use them to reach extreme test level and even then, are they likely?

HRT is safe on the body, it is replacement theory it produces roughly the same amount of test the body make to keep it in the adequate bodily function.

the risks of NOT using HRT is LOW libido, low energy, higher fat gain due to inactivity, lower mental alertness, lack of quality of life. Do you need more?

That is why you do testosterone replacement therapy.

This one should be a no brainer.

My question is really, at what point are there real risks to TRT (if they are real)? Is it above some testosterone range or used for some length of time or something entirely different?

Side effects fo TRT is normal testosterone plasma level and dependent androgen sides... like oily skin, male paterne baldness. Thats all. You become normal guy with normal men-problems.

If you stay on your testosterone (your level is like after castration) You become fat, you lose your libido and become depressed and myocardial infaction will be for you more real in future.

Dont afraid and make that step it will change your life (if you have 50ng/dl for sure!).

There was a report recently that low T levels are associated with a higher risk of developing heart disease.
