    prop pain or abcess follow-up

On friday I started a thread because I was experiencing alot of pain in my left quad that I had injectected with prop two days previous. I was hoping it was a reaction to the 'new to me' high ba propionate . It was swollen, hot to the touch and hurt like hell for me to use. Long story short, I finally went to the urgent care place and they lanced and drained the abcess that was not going to improve on its own. They were cool about it and gave me some antibiotics. They installed a drain, "or wick", which will be removed on teusday, that will continue to draw out the infection. The doc said, had I let it go another few days it woud've been hospital time. I have a picture that I'm trying to upload. Its yummy! Admittedly, I have used the same pin for 2 or 3 shots before replacing. Not really for the cost of the pin, but the small amount of gear left in the pin. Ive done it for years and if I collectively saved one 20 ml bottle worth of gear, guess what? I would gladly go pay for one and not had to go through this. So dont be a cheap ass, and always use sterile clean needles as I will from here on out.

Cant really apreciate the amount of gross crap that came out. My gf was grossed out. Not to mention how good it felt for the doc to be pushing and cutting on it.

    dude......

time to do some leg days! those thighs and calves are teeny!! :P

im ultra paranoid...i have known people using the same 18g needle to draw from bottles over and over....

even though it's not injecting, it can be contaminated easily, then contaminate your bottle of gear too......

you're lucky it didnt get worse....

Thanks for the follow up, and letting us know what happened. I have been next to someone having one drained, it smells so bad!

So you only let it go 2 days and had to get it drained, it was beyond just oral antibiotics that fast?

not 2 days, Ive had intense pain since thursday so I guess three. Ive been using prop so early pain was ignored as I thought it was from the ba. Looking back I think my body had been fighting an abcess for a while. A few weeks ago, in the same site, I hit a numb area inside and when I pulled the pin blood sprayed from the hole. I was in a hotel room bathroom and it looked like a crime scene. I thought I hit a vein, but looking back it was probably an area under pressure some pocket of something trying to start an abcess.
