Question Pin switch...Pain in my a$$??

Ok, my ass feels like I got kicked by a mule... This is my third cycle in all and I'm well into it so it's not like I'm some new kid afraid to stick himself. Injection was yesteday, my location was fine, I have no swelling, definitely intramuscular as I felt the familiar "full" sensation and I was 1 1/2 inches in, it's not hot to the touch, no swelling, nothing...glute looks totally fine. The only thing I have is a small mark where the pin went in. I was fine for leg day last night but today is a different story.

The only thing I can think of is I switched brands on pin from BD to Terumo...?? orrr the fact that I drew with a BD 20g and switched to the Terumo 23g point...? Is there anything wrong with that? I was told points are interchangable and it locked perfect just like a BD?

this cycle I have alternated glutes, previous cycles I have alternated between glutes, occasionally hitting quads and delts. I read somewhere on here that test has a higher absorption rate in the glute so I've stayed there thus far. Never had a problem before.

Your Glutes may just need a rest, Changing Pins should not matter as long as it was sterile, I personally draw with a 23g pin and inj into my Quads with a 25g 1"pin, and for Glutes 25g 1 1/2"pin. i'll take two inj on the same day and have no issues. one in the glute and one in my quad. Back to you, as far as your pain goes, you may have not entered the muscle, if the Pin went in at an angle, then its possible that you Inj SC and this could be why you are feeling the Discomfort. But either way, IMO I think that you should be fine. Maybe give that glute some R&R.

maybe you knicked something while withdrawing the needle after injecting. either way you should be fine. I like to inject into delts but every so often they get irritated and need to use a new spot to give them some rest, i think its fairly common

There is a main nerve that runs up your glutes.(each cheek). If you hit that, you'll know it.As long as it's not infected,Don't worry.

Pain is gone. Ironically the next injection hurt just as bad in the opposite glute. 3 days and it was nearly impossible to put all my weight on it sitting down. Then the next injection went as smooth as butter again? The two injections that hurt so bad were the last 2 out of that vial. Is there a possibility that I was drawing air bubbles that I couldnt see or something that caused the bottom of the vial to hurt worse? My latest injection came from the same batch but a fresh vial?

cool that the pain is gone. I had the same sort of problem on my last cycle, whenever I started a new site the first shot hurt super bad 24 hours later but then subsequent shots were painless.

yea but it runs through your ass too...I'm pretty sure I ddint hit that though, bc from what I understand if you do hit it...you'll know it for sure...Also from what I understand if your pin is in the correct region of your glute you shouldnt be close to it

Yeah unless you are pinning right by your ass crack and low you are not going to hit your sciatic nerve. And like a poster said above, if you do hit your sciatic nerve you'll know it!
