Thread: For all you Brits...

    For all you Brits...

Please.. for the love of god... when people ask for stats, stop saying "stone" weight.

Besides sounding stupid as **** (I picture you on a giant balance with someone stacking stones on the other side desperately trying to figure out how much you weigh), it's just annoying. You wanna use kilos? That's fine, easy math. But seriously, no one knows what the hell a stone is and googling some conversion rate everytime is just annoying. This is an American based board, so a lot of people have no idea how much 'X' amount of stones is, so let's keep it to pounds or kilograms.

Go tell people how much you weigh in rocks on some British board.

    K, thanks.

EDIT: Oh, and this should be stickied.

if you ask many brits there weight , i can say more than 60% of them will say stone.

    pointless thread...

If your going to ask for stats ...why not take 5mins now and work out how many lbs there is to a stone so you dont have to complain about it?? tell you what ill tell you 1stone = 14lbs

brits will be brits ''american board or not''

Then why not learn to just state pounds or kilos, on a board that's something like 80% non-british.

And all of you arguing about how easy it is to convert, which I'm not debating it is, then why not just do it so quickly yourself and post that number?

im sure its the newbies saying stone, they will get the idea when they read a few posts so theres no problem.

its just where people are from...like if you asked how much i lifted id give it you in KG ...and youd probably give it me in lbs

    Relax ....

    Its a worldwide board,
I cant see your problem and to even start a thread about this is odd. Its normal for alot of guys to speak like that in the UK,just like all the yanky talk but maybe you need to educate yourself alittle bit instead of being tunnel visioned.

I am not to sure if your going to understand this quote but here goes, Fuk off prick.

Oh no, a waste of bandwidth... whatever will we do...

Sorry you guys couldn't catch the slight humor brought within the first post, but anyway, I think we all know now not to use stones, so as you can see I'm a very helpful member of this board.

edit: oh and Mr. Marcus, I could care less about brit talk or yankee talk (though I do find all of your guys use of the word "bro" to be rather... excessive..), I just think it'd be common courtesy to use one of the more widely used measurements.

Or should we post our stats in millimeters and ounces?
